Dunlop F3.0 Tour: nothing's perfect

Wo... you got me interested here. If it is what it seems to be, that would be a racquet close to perfection for me. A 16x19 pattern on a f3.0 tour mold would be fantastic.

Ltec 5S (black) in the mains @ 42# Ltec Flex (black) crosses @ 41#.
Another option I enjoyed is Dyreex Black Edge in the mains with Ltec Gut crosses.
The 5S/flex combo last forever, sometimes I have cut it out just because...
I am getting better depth on my groundies (lower tension) with more topspin.

I'm sorry for asking, I wanted to string mine with 16 gauge full poly, what would be the ideal tension for the F3.0 tour? Thank you.

Below 45lbs. If it were me though, I would use a 17g or even 18g instead.
Kirschbaum Pro Line II 1.20 for example works really well in that frame

16 gauge full poly I'm going to recommend you try the mains around 40# and the crosses two #s lower. I had been playing a BB London (16/19 string pattern) in the middle to high 40's if that gives you a reference at all.

Hope this is not too late. FYI. I just received my F3.0 Tour strung with Volkl Cyclone 16@38lbs by TW on their LO stringer. I think the string bed is too firm even after 2 days and 6 sets. I'll probably try 30-33lbs next time. The Cyclone 17@53lbs string bed on my Prince O3 White LS, also strung by TW, started out softer. Maybe the o-ports did soften up the string bed but the difference is very noticeable. For reference, I only play full bed poly/copoly usually strung between 50-58lbs, depending on the stiffness of the string.

I think the F3.0 Tour has the thightest stringbed ever, at any tension. But it's something you get used to, it's not uncomfortable either, just thight.

I enjoy Bio F3.0 Tour lately. I didn't played much with it in summer on clay, because lack of power and small sweetspot.
But now indoor, after strings losed some tension, both sweetspot and power is acceptable. Original tension was not high (22/21 kg), but i guess i need it string even lower next time.

I played with the F3.0 Tour for a year before switching to the M2.0. I would not string it above 53 lbs with a full bed of poly. You can string the crosses 2 lbs lower to widen out the sweetspot. I would also suggest using a 1.20 (17 or 17L) gauge string. I used KB Proline 2 17L at 53/51. Good luck!

just ordered a couple of these from TW

looks like a "pro stock", mod ready version of the F3.0T.
1st decision I'll need to make will be regarding the length, sub 27" ? I had convinced myself I prefer the 26 15/16" length but now I have a chance to try 27"+.
The ironic thing is that I 1st started playing with the F3.0T as a tool to figure out my preferred specs for a custom Angell.
Now a year later I'm going further down the rabbit hole ! (but still enjoying my Dunlop)
