Dunlop M 6.0 vs Volkl V1 MP

Anyone played both of these? They are very similar in specs:

V1 Mp

10.5 oz
2 pts HL
303 sw
66 flex
28/26/23 beam

Most glaring difference is the flex/stiffness. The 6.0 plays firmer/stiffer with easier power IMO. The trade off might be a loss of touch/feel?

I will be comparing these 2 myself this week and report back. I grabbed a demo of the M 6.0 today and the V1 MP has been my regular stick these days. Should be an interesting comparison.

Well I did my own test tonite and so far I much preferred the V1. The M 6.0 was more powerful and easier for blasting serves, but that's it. It was hard to control and lacked the touch and feel of the V1. I think it would be more suited for a baseliner who stays back most of the time and plays mostly singles. It does offer tons of free power and a crisp firm feel. Reminds me a little of the Prince White.

So bottom line... Much prefer the X V1 Mp.

I guess I've just never really cared for the feel of dunlops. They all felt like they had a tiny sweetspot.

Some of them do but not all. Depends on the model.

I though u really liked the M 3.0?

I loved the feel of the racket and the power level, but I started to feel a little twinge in my arm from it. I was pretty close to buying that one!

I also tried that one for a while and really liked it too. It has a very unique impact feeling and the weight and swing weight are great...maybe a bit too heavy in the head feeling? I ultimately let it go because I just played better with my V1.

I ended up adding an over grip to my demo and that made the balance more to my liking. It has a pretty low power level, which is probably why you went with the v1 instead. I liked the v1 also though.

The power level wasn't too low...it was workable. The V1 has decent power but also with control. The M 6.0 felt out of control for me. I was afraid to swing away and that's not good.
