RedFlea. I think my local sports authority still have one 4 3/8 and one 4 1/4 M-Fil 300s on the shelf for $59.99. Check their website for locations, could be one near you.

Oh man...do NOT tempt me! (But I am tempted.) My birthday is coming up in a bit, but given that I've accumulated, what, 8 racquets in the past 8 months, I'm wondering if I need another racquet, or intensive counseling...I know what my generally very understanding wife would say...
You haven't hit the M-Fil 200 16x19, have you? I'd really like a comparison on maneuverability between the two. If the AG was a little more maneuverable, that would be towards what I wanted...they are both 7pts head light, and strung weight is almost the same (AG a few grams more), so I'm thinking they may be very similar in that aspect...
I haven't hit with the MF200 yet, so, you're right, I wouldn't be able to give a comparison between them both. But one of my playing buddies has the MF200, so I might just take his out for a spin in the next couple of weeks and will post my thoughts once I have the opportunity...
I see myself playing the devil's advocate here ...![]()
I've been searching for the MF3s in 4 1/4 size...what if I can't find it? What's the next best Dunlop racquet? The Aerogel? I've heard many great things about it, and I've heard many not-so-great things...
Don't forget some rest to let your muscle heal, and consider some strengthening exercises.
Dropping tension and/or moving to a more forgiving string can help. Form is also important...make sure your mechanics aren't out of whack.
I use the Dunlop M-Fil 300 at stock settings and I love it. It is very solid which was not expected due to it's weight but it's just awesome.
jonolau, how is the grip shape difference between dunlop and volkl..?
as i am looking for the substitude of dnx-10 mid after 2 hrs play.. looking for less demanding racquet, will the m-fil 200 16x19, m-fil 300 be a good replacement? how does it compre to the 10mid and dnx9 in power, sweetspot, swing weight.....?
thanks...
thanks jon......
how about the m-fil 300....? compare to dnx-10 mid and 9
thanks again
Hey guys, I see you're still going strong. I think I liked the 60# better than the 55# I'm using now. I guess I don't like the power.![]()
Good to see you're still around! Yes, I've also found 60lb is a great tension to play with, even with full poly. Gives a good amount of control.
oh my god, i dont believe it! i am back to the MF3 AGAIN!! i have been switching back and forth with this racket for ages! i play well with it, i love how it plays like a heavier racket, but in a lighter package, but always tell myself that it is TOO light! though i never actually feel the weaknesses of alight racket during play!? i guess i will try out a little lead tape, but i dont want to bump up the swingweight too much, or reduce the spin availability, i play with a fair amount of spin. will update as soon as i can!
The MF300 is so mcuh easier to play than the DNX10 mid and DNX9. If you've played with previous Volkl models before, the feel of the MF300 comes closest to the Catapult 10. In fact, almost identical.
The MF300 has a nice balance of control and power on groundstrokes. The lower swingweight also makes it so maneuverable with easy transitions between FH and 1HBH.
Serves are so much easier than the 9 and 10, can get pinpoint accuracy with good amount of pace.
Volleys on the MF300 are also more stable and doesn't really have the irritating pinging like the Volkls.
No!![]()
Mark...you need to drop to 50lbs...that's nirvana.![]()
Oh well, I guess everyone can't live w/me at the low end.
There you go, Od1n, you are now an official member of the club!Just when I was prepared to have my sister (who's in the US now) buy me a couple M-Fils ...just for the fun of it ... and some lead experimenting ... there are no 3/8 grips left available at TW :|.
Anyway...with regards to the "pinging" in the Volkls...I played with the DNX 10 Mid's for more than a year, and (with a rubber band) I find it a "far from pingy" racket. In my experience it's quite "thumpy" actually. Never played the DNX 9 to compare though ...
Anyway ... since the M-Fil is no longer available at tw in my grip size ... I had my sister order a couple of Tour 10 Gen 1's which are apparently available again at TW for 99 bucks (it's all NBMJ's fault anyway ! ! !). Never played that "classic" and can't wait for her to get here with them
( I really need to stop this demo madness !)
Anyway ... this means I was ALMOST a member of your club ... but not quite(I have a feeling I would prefer the AG 200 16x19 that I already own anyway ... but there you have it
).
Hello, everyone. Just purchased three M-fil 300's from my local sporting goods store for $60/each. Wow, what a deal!! Double bonus, they were already factory strung!! Do you still have room for me in the club? Thanks and take care.

That's because labor day sales?
Welcome, Tim...lucky deal for you. Congrats, and I hope you like them.
Both Haas and Blake have Aerogels. Dunlop/Slazenger must have been ecstatic about that match. The MF3 has given me a .500 season in the 50's tourneys. No desire to change.
Hey boat. Way to go man, and welcome to the boards if you havn't been welcomed yet? I am not an MF300 user, but I always look around when it is mentioned..
Oooooh, thank you my friend!![]()
Read the TW rqcquet customization section - has info on adding lead. Generally, lead in the head will increase power, reduce maneuverability.
Strings/tension is the other option from an equipment perspective...lower tension and go to a multi or gut.
