Dunlop Max 200G, POG, Head Prestige Classic?

I was wondering if there was any "special" models of the Dunlop Max 200G, Prince Original Graphite, or Head Prestige Classic? Kind of how the PS 6.0 St. Vincent is more special than the PS 6.0 of today. Is there any difference between the POG when they were first made and today's POG.

POG: The 1978 first version, made in USA, grommetless, teardrop shape head

Head Prestige classic: The brown prestige pro, red prestige pro, the original oldest PC600 (bar code label on side beam not inside), head prestige tour trisys 300 (bar code label also on side beam)

I can't speak for the POG or ProStaff 6.0 85, although I think the different editions of those have been well documented, but I can say the Dunlop 200G had quite a few incarnations.

The most valuable, from a collectors point of view would be the original and can be distinguished by the cosmetics and the grip. The last version of the 200G was predominantly purple with a purple grip (i think). Do recall that it played differently to the others and had an alarming tendancy to break (the head of 3 I had snapped clean off). The version before that was predominantly, as in almost all, an unpleasant green with a green grip and seemed to be a little stiffer. Prior to that there was a collectors edition. Cant recall what it was celebrating but most likely Steffi Grafs Grand Slam. You can tell it by the very different decals and think it reverted to the black Dunlop leather grip. At the same time as that one there was a version distinguised by a slightly different lettering on the side -look at the words Max200G. Before that was the brown/tan gripped version with the more standard lettering of the words Max 200G on it. Then there was the initial version with black grip.

In my opinion the second version was the best. Seemed to be less bulky but not as stiff as the green version and far more solid than the final purple one. A word of warning though. The head of the 200G was notorious for warping. So, if you're going to buy a second hand one Id suggest checking for that. Just place the head on a flat surface and see if there's any tilt.
