Dunlop Tennis Balls

Okay, I want a little review of all the Dunlop balls. It seems like everyone on the board prefers Dunlop, but I want to know the which ones are considered the best of the best. Out of the following balls, please rank them and tell why:

1) Dunlop GrandPrix XD

2) Dunlop Champ XD

3) Dunlop Championship McEnroe

1) most durable, long lasting, and heaviest, good for a practice bucket, good for big hitters

2) durable, good bounce, my favorite (I'm not a huge hitter - I'll get there someday!)

3) least durable, pretty good bounce, feels like it's the lightest, not my favorite but still better than cheaper Penn and Wilson balls

Do a search there is plenty written on all of this

great to hear that #1 and #2 are more durable than #3 because until now I was only using #3 and felt that they were better than wilson and penn. I will buy both #1 and #2 from TW this week and will check to see the difference in comming weeks.

Try also the Dunlop Abzorb. They are supposed to be easier on the arm and are good lasting balls. I put two cans through the ball machine for over month now and they hold great.

Just buy the Grand Prix XDs. The only complaint from some hitters is that they "feel too hard". That's probably 'cos they're used to wimpy balls from Wilson or Penn. That hard rubber core is what makes em last, especially when you toss em in your serving basket.

never tried #1, but 2 and 3 are pretty good. i used to buy 3 because i could get them on sale fairly often, and they played pretty well. nothing special, but better than cheap penn or wilson balls. i guess you can write a review here once you try them all!

The interesting thing about the dunlop mcenroes is that they are cheaper that walmart penns and wilsons, yet they are way better.

The Dunlop Grand Prix's have a nice feel when you hit them. They easily last the duration of a three set match. I buy them by the case because the local stores around me don't stock them.
