Durability (and noise) of Asics Gel Resolutions 7s?

Has anyone else experience poor durability with the outsoles of the GR7s? I am a long time user of GR5s and GR6's and I normally get five months of use out of them with six hours of play per week. However, my 7s wore out in half of the time--2.5 months. They were super loud and squeaky initially too on the court which was unusual. My conclusion was that the pair of 7s I got had a softer, less durable rubber.

    Has anybody else experienced this?

Asics technical support said the 7s have the outsole as the 6s which I find hard to believe based on my experience with the noise and durability.

Anybody recommend a similar shoe with good cushioning for my sore knees with a 6 month warrantee? I need a replacement shoe but I don't want the 7's if they are less durable.

I've had similar durability with the mainly red Gel Res 7s compared to the two pairs of 6s I had. But I've had Nikes I started wearing at the same time, rotated equally, and wore out at different rates. Both times, the black rubber outsoles had only started balding a couple sessions before the neon yellow rubber soles were through to the foam. This happened with Vapors and LunarBallistecs. Just like with strings and other materials, I assume it's the different dyes that cause the lighter colored soles to wear faster than the black ones. The neon ones had stickier traction before the balding started while the black ones were slicker.

I'm on my 2nd pair. I wore the first pair probably on average 3x a week for 2.5 hours each for just under 6 months and it barely wore a hole through the outsole showing a tiny bit of white midsole. I sent them back and got my second pair which seem to be wearing about the same. I only play on hard courts.

No issue on clay yet, although all Asics Resolution have cheap lining/cloth inside that wears out for me in the heel area, even on clay, in less than a year. No other top brand has this issue.

I've played with both the 6's and the 7's. Haven't noticed a difference in durability between the two. For me, the outsoles for both versions lasted longer than the various barricades I've tried. Maybe you got a bad batch of rubber o_O

The insole however was a different story. Wore through that quickly and had to replace. Never had that issue with other brands.

Okay, thanks for the info guys....I'll chalk it up to bad luck then--I swear these shoes did not sound normal. Not excited about the price of the 7's though...I've traditionally gotten a version of the GRs them for around $80.
