Durability of electronic tensioning systems?

I saw that the Gamma 5800 ELS stringing machines come with a 5 year warranty. I'm wondering if anyone can speak to the durability of electronic tensioning devices, because I don't string enough racquets to recoup the investment in 5 years.

I would be more comfortable with a purchase if there was general consensus that electronic tensioning systems can be expected to work well for more than 5 years...hopefully....10 years.

Anyone out there with experience? Care to project a machine lifespan?
Thx.

just wanted to expand a little bit more on the warranty, actually there is a 5 yr warranty against manufactures defects on the mechanical parts, the clamps & electronics only have a 1 yr warranty. we might offer an extended warranty in the future. there are a lot of GAMMA electric machines in the field that are over 5 yrs old. there are a lot of 75 & 8500 and even 6002Es & 7000Es, they are at least 10 yrs old now.

I've owned a Silent Partner DG for 3+, almost 4 years under heavy use for 2-1/2 years and it was never down. I've been using a Wise 2086 for the better part of a year, also heavy use, never down. BUT, I've almost always had a back up that I've never had to use.

Thanks for the replies.

Gamma Tech, if the tensioning head fails out of warranty....what's the cost for a new one (and to install it if that's not something that the average person can do) ?

Thanks

All of the tensioners can be replaced by the average person. We barely ever replace the whole tensioner because of problems, we fix the component that is bad. The whole electronic/display box is around $500 but that consists of few PC boards. we could replace the defective 1, the motor is about $180 and then the prices go down from there for the other switches & components.
