Dynamic Warm-Up?

Recon

I'm fairly young, never stretch, never warm up when I get on court, I just saw LeeDs video and that scared the living chit outta me, so I would like to take my health and this game seriously.

I would like a repeatable dynamic warmup, that I can do everytime before I step on the court, and on court warmup. EVERYTIME. I would like it to involve my whole body being activated, so I leave nothing behind, I usually get warm too late in the set, 3-4th game and by then I have to dig myself out of a rut. So if anyone can direct me to some videos, routines, that can be accomplished 5-7 mins, on court, before mini-tennis this would be awesome.

Found a Pretty awesome one. The coach sounds like the typical meathead, its funny because I know so many people like this that are close to me, its like they all sound the same LOL! anyway check it out!!

Todd Durkin is a very good coach. I would listen to him.

Also look in Eric Cressey and his movement stuff. Magnificent Mobility is what his DVD is called. It might be a little pricey but its really good for warm up.

Much of what you see in this video is difficult or impossible for the average viewer. You will need to scale it to your abilities and adapt it to your own needs.

Thats from the DVD you listed. You something is really good for or gonna kill you when it says that on a legit DVD.

Nobody can do what this guy is doing the the DVD, but there is a lot to choose from and it can easily be modified to any skill level with even limited willingness and imagination. It can also be easily adapted for use on a tennis court. Obviously you will have to forgo the ring and parallel bar work and you might want to limit the number of planche push-ups you do to just 4-5 :)

But seriously, there are some very nice dynamic stretches that anyone can do and many more that can be worked toward as goals (depending on your present abilities and willingness to work and progress on these).

It is well worth the $25.

I (and my students) do this dynamic warm-up before matches or practices. It takes about 10-15 minutes.
