Easy consistent second serve?

My first serve is a very solid flat serve. However, my second serve has varying speeds and is mostly flat... i hate it:mad:. Is there an easy way for me to develop either a consistent (not great) topspin or slice second serve? If so, how?

well what my coach told me was to sit on the service line and hit a serve in, the spin that you have to generate from that helps you form a consistent second serve, also seeing as how you have a solid flat serve the pace from that plus the spin u'll learn could help develop a good second serve, hope that helps mate.

First advice, get a coach to help you with this. If this is not an option...

Trying tossing the ball at 1 o'clock and trying to come across the ball. Start out slow at first but then once you can make 15 of these slower slices in a row, start to increase the racquet head speed. These little slow dinkers will help to increase your feel for putting spin on the ball, which will probably lead you to hitting a kick/twist serve in the future, and that is the safer of the 2nd serves out there.
