Thanks. Sounds like he's using a 90 sq. in. Pro Staff.

No problem.
I agree, it appears he's using the Pro Staff 90 and that backhand of his is just sublime.
I heard Federer extended his contract with Edberg from 10 weeks to a full year. Congrats to Stefan for making an immediate impact.
In other news, Djokovic reneged his contract with Becker from a year to 10 days...just kidding... :p

I thought he was going to coach for the whole year, but his appearances would be limited to 10 weeks sprinkled here and there?

I'm just glad that someone started this thread; quite sick of the topic "Federer's Racket"; this makes for such a welcome change! :)

I'll bet someone out there thinks Edberg is a 3.5.

I would have bet Edberg was using all the 90 sticks Fed won't be using from now on.

Sounds like gut.

The Stefan Edberg fan site posted this article from a Swedish newspaper:

Stefan Edberg and Roger Federer's cooperation has so far been a success.

Edberg now confirms he will stay in Federer's coaching team to the end of 2014.

– We have done the first part, and from now on it will be more flexible, Edberg tells Expressen.

With Stefan Edberg at his side Roger Federer is playing better tennis than for a long time. The world number eight reached the semifinals in Australian Open, beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Andy Murray. Two weeks ago he won the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai.

From the beginning their cooperation was said to last in approximately ten weeks, until the end of March. Edberg now confirms they have extended it until the end of 2014.

– We have told each other to try to keep the cooperation for the rest of the year. It's all confirmed, Edberg tells Expressen.

"More flexible"
– We have done the first part, and from now on it will be more flexible. It's good for both parts, so we don't get too locked up. Now we have something to build on depending on what happends in the future, Edberg said.

Stefan Edberg has just returned from Indian Wells where he spent time with Federer, to play the veteran tournament Kings of Tennis in Stockholm.

Wow, Edberg still plays with a bare leather grip with no overgrip? Him and McEnroe belong to same last generation club. :)

Great backhand but I cringe every time I see that forehand.

Watching that video, I must say the Edberg's forehand looks much better than it did 15 years ago. Not sure if its the perspective, or if he's changed it around, but it used to be more chicken-wing, and his follow through looks better.

bro i'd say he is a solid 4.0 in my area.. LMAO.

Watching Edberg hit with Federer is tennis porn.. if someone watches that video and is not smiling the entire time then they need to be smacked.

I also agree that the bed sounds like full gut

More like playing squash now.

^^^Why does Federer racket look like same as Edberg's just blacked out ?
Maybe Federer never actually switched from his 90 but this whole switching to a 98 hype is just a marketing ploy by Wilson to sell more racquets? They know they can sell tons of a new 98 model if people believed Federer actually switched to that model. :)

you never see any recreational players on the court these days with just leather anymore.

I play everyday with just leather.

And please -- it's a 98 - I've been on the practice courts while he's hitting with it and sat next to it about a foot away. It's much bigger than a 90. Sorry to burst any bubbles.

You do realize that it was a joke, don't you? Thought it was pretty obvious.
