Dancevic would have broke back

he doesn't have a Plan B when he starts spraying wildlyShappy plays so dumb
I think Stan is trusting his leg now, finally. One more slam runIncredibly disappointing first set from Shapovalov.
Wawrinka isn't who he used to be, and yet Shapo largely giften him the break and didn't even force him to play well.

Inconsistent serve, liable return, no slice to speak of.he doesn't have a Plan B when he starts spraying wildly
He can't even return 2nd serves. From what I can see the ROS is still the biggest weakness for Shapo from a pure shot perspective. And he just tried to rip a winner off a nice low chip slice from Wawrinka. At this point in his career at least, I think good defense really frustrates him.

Shapo has no patience whatsoever. Forces so much unnecessary crap.
I don't see it.To be fair, it was a very tidy set from Stannis. Only 4 UEs. Decent.
But I agree he is not the man he used to be. USO19 - last chance?
He can't even return 2nd serves.
There's no cure for a lack of tennis IQThat's because he takes huge swings at all of them. It's correctable anyway.
That looks to be the case. Sometimes he just needs to hit a rally ball and he just wont.I don't think it's something he can control as of yet tbh. He just doesn't know any other way.
I don't see it.
He'll return to the top 20. But I don't see him be a threat to Djokovic anymore, and he was never really a threat to Nadal in the first place.
not really but his older coach, Landreau?, was giving him return practice quite often, the new coach is more like a friendInconsistent serve, liable return, no slice to speak of.
Has he improved at all since beating Nadal in Montreal 2017?

Isn't it a talent to be able to hit more than 5 shots within the lines? It's time for some coaching for Shapo. Some new coaching. Too much talent there to let it all go to waste.
I agree he's an error machine. Still think he needs some guidance badly.Isn't it a talent to be able to hit more than 5 shots within the lines?

Still mom as far as I know. He needs to break away from the teeeeetYeah, basically. Who's coaching him now? Is it still his mother? That will never work. Not even sure she's properly qualified.

Honestly I just feel that the court looks really slow.Shapo has mostly disappointed in this match so far, but honestly, Stan looks more sure of himself in his movement than I've seen in a long while and as a consequence he's playing well again. I won't predict more slams for sure, but he'll be in the mix somewhere at the rest of the slams this year.
Rob Steckley. They seem more concerned about making videos than actual tennis

I've worked for family and vice versa. Sooner or later it goes to s***Yeah, no family member coaches. Dads on the WTA don't work either. The kids should've learned that by now.
Wasn't that whole thing like a joke or something? As far as I remember it was pretty clear from his tone that Shapo was being sarcastic/funny.
Honestly I just feel that the court looks really slow.
I doesn't really skid or anything and I don't think the balls move through the court very quickly, but that may just be the angle. They don't make Wawrinka look fast cause he looks very slow to me. Plenty of shots that Shapo hits a meter inside the line and Wawrinka stands far behind the basline hitting the chip forehand back. What do you mean? Are you saying the slow court is helping fatwrinka look fast? Looks like a regular indoor HC to me. Stan likes slow courts anyway.
Go to his Instagram. They make vlogs all the time. Just has a Eugenie Bouchard vibe to him in my opinion
Fair enough. I probably won't go to his instagram though. I barely care for any social media sites, and I don't like making judgements on how hard someone does or doesn't train off of a few videos on social media unless it's blatantly obvious like Kyrgios for example.
