    been only playing for bout a year, and already have elbow pains. pain around inside outer to inside middle of elbow. is there anyway to stop the pain or heal whatever it is? by the way it hurts after i serve or after i smash.

    I suspect that you would find a lot of answers if you tried the "search" feature at the top of the page, or if you wrote your question in the health and fitness section.

    But, basically, unless you have some chronic condition or weakenss, tennis elbow usually is agrivated by mishitting backhands and serves.

    So first you need to rest and let the arm heal. Then find someone to watch your strokes (someone good) who can help you correct some basic problems. Then check your racket. Some are easier on the arm than others. ProKennex has some good arm-friendly rackets, but they are hard to come by at the moment. Basically the racket should be head light, have medium flex, and strung with soft/arm friendly strings at a mediun tension.
