ELECTRONIC STRINGING add on??

I found this web site that has an add on to almost any manual stringer to make it into an electric.

yeah, a lot of serious stringers buy that tension head (also called the Wise 2086). IMO its one of the best electronic tension head out on the market. I wouldn't buy one though because i'm satisfied with my upcoming stringer (see sig) and because i will not have 10+ stringing jobs a week.

I have 2, and love them. I'd say that those who still string on crank machines just haven'g tried one yet.

Most of us recreational stringers aren't against the Wise - I just don't think that spending $500 is a good use of my money. It's a nice to have, but a very expensive nice to have. To me, the jump from a dropweight to crank is a much larger quantum leap in stringing ease than that of crank to electronic.

I have seen pics of someone who took a high end Gamma dropweight tabletop and stuck the Wise on it. I'm sure it works fine, but the economics of such a project don't really work well if you ask me vs an upright crank.

I wanted an electronic stringer. But, I have only one stringing machine I use. If the electronic head does break, in an emergency, I can pull out the crank and still string rackets. Now, I bought a 2nd Wise head. If it needs something, I can send it back, use the other one, etc until the first one is back. I don't have to disassemble and entire electronic machine to send it back.
