Wilson Steam 100. It's one of those you could find at Dick's Sporting Goods when it was in circulation.
Well, I do not like the retail flaming red and white color frame in the Steam 100. Looks cheapo! I wait till the Wilson V7 Blade gloss frame Pro Stock comes down in price and grab it! Going go with “new”!

Whatever! Blade V# where # is the latest version. Pro after it just serves to price it 20% more then a non pro racquet! It does not mean Touring Pros play with the actual “Pro” model racquet but a very nicely PJ of the racquet! Pro Stock racquet is the real thing!

IIRC retail has a different layup and doesn't have a graphite molded handle.
these are one those remarks that says nothing. We cant verify it cant we? Or did you saw a off the self steam and an actuallt frame played by Emma side by side in a lab? Every racquet from a different batch in a factory will be different too, that why you get those differences in balance and weight while buying the same pair of racquetys anyway!

Maybe they will bring out a ER autograph version of the Blade to Steam 100 specs given her popularity. Honestly with so many rackets on the market I don’t care about paint jobs or who uses what, there’s something out there on the shelves for anyone.

i sincerely hope they do not. imagine the endless discussins here that emma might use this signature racquet but that she ofcourse has a different lay up and different grommets and then we have the nerds saying that she plays with a code ### and so on. YAK. Every year this paintjob changes and so malink the discussion longer without end.

IIRC?

How do you know this?
Friend had the retail and I had pro stocks in different pjs. Below pictures of the one laying in the closet and 1 I sold a while ago (these were v7 pjs).

Back in the past, racquet geeks as we were, we would take off the grips, flashlight the insides of the frame checking whether there's foam in the handle, in the head and so on.
I wrote IIRC because I saw and hit with quite a bit of pro stocks and retail racquets when I was younger and I don't recall every single one.

I wish it were. A VCore 100 with a 16x20 would be amazing.

I'd be willing to bet that Wilson slapped a fresh contract worth a healthy sum in front of her already.
both companies are in talks with her agent and her. but both are willling to make anything she desires to her specs, i think because she's only 18 years old with Global marketability, China, europe, england, america, you name it and she will sell. This is once in 100 year opportunity and it would be stupid to miss out. Wilson has deeper pocket book. but are they willing to put out 2-4 million per year for next 10 years on a Tennis player ????? That is the question. Tennis isn't their #1 priority sport

I didn't even know she was in contact with Yonex. I can imagine they'd be keen to get her.

If I were Babolat, I get Rafa to place a call to her just to butter her up for the owner of Babolat to make a personal appeal to Emma! Wilson could never, ever do such a personal things! Emma seems to like talking one on one with people, not corporations. Rafa could go along to seal the deal too! Only thing that would equal this if RF did the same for Wilson! :) (y) If both were at the same meeting, it be hell of an event! Rafa and Federer are pretty good friends too! But this will not happen, it only the highest $ that counts!

do you really i would make much diffrence a 16x19 or 16x20 stringbed? It costs you more string. There are already older Yonex models that are 16x20 like the Vcore tour g 97 anyway!

Would I have mentioned it if I didn't think it would make a difference?

so then you have to buy those older 16x20 models dont you. plenty of them are on secondhand market.
Not at all. I'm currently playing the 21 VC95 which plays bigger than its head size suggests.

The purpose of my comment was to remark on how awesome it would be for Yonex to be able to offer a 16x20 option in the larger head size based on her signing as I felt that the VCore 100 would benefit from some added control and I feel that a 16x20 pattern would accomplish that. So it's not just about the pattern but the specific combination of that pattern with that racquet.
