I am for once in my short life impressed with ESPN....Today was all Men's Matches:
Henman/Horna
Nadal/Malisse
Federer/Almagro
Moya/Vick
Gasquet/Wessels
AND maybe this is happening because there are a lot fewer American Men these days but now that Agassi, Fish, Kevin Kim, is out
we have Roddick and Spadea left ..Blake too but i doubt they will show those matches..just Roddick
So we are in for some good tennis. Also how funny is it how ESPN is already putting Federer and Nadal in the semis....GAUDIO? NALBANDIAN? GASQUET? GONZO?
All i hear is the "CO-FAVORITES" NADAL AND FEDERER
WHAT ABOUT CORIA AND GAUDIO
THEY HAVE JUST AS GOOD A CHANCE. AND JCF JCF JCF JCF....let's not forget him...id like to see Brad Guilbert and these other idiots proven wrong for once.
But overall I can say im pretty happy with the unbiased coverage. But I know its because they have to. Venus Williams, Davenport and Roddick are virtually the only Americans left worth watching.
I feel ESPN is a little less intelligent then European stations or say Tennis Channel. They play the big names too much and don't understand that this is not a drawsheet like March Madness COllege Basketball. Anyone can literally go down at any time. I bet ESPN didnt see Henman losing to Horna....but in the tennis world that was not a huge upset. Neither was Massu losing,,,,,,
Anyways some thoughts about this long essay?
thanks
