ESPN FO coverage

I am not usually on the rant about ESPN's coverage, BUT that has all changed. The networks coverage of the FO has been terrible. Bits of matches is just lame. They have showed Nadal's first match twice now so far and only a short amount of Feder's opening match then back to Nadal's match AGAIN and then not in it's entirety, how lame. But they are showing the entire women's matches as far as I can tell. I could've done without the Venus Williams match and been much happier with the entire Nadal opener and entire Feder opener. It's going to be a long two weeks with ESPN.

I think it was much better than last year's coverage. Remember all those Capriati and WS reruns?

At least we watched Gasquet, Nadal, Gaudio, some Fed, other men's matches..

Last year's coverage of the French Open was horrible on ESPN but they followed it up with some good Wimbeldon coverage last season. It looks like they are continuing the good coverage so far (showing the top players, not just every American) although they are going to show Americans (particularly the women for some reason). But I think it's better than last year. The nightly two hour wrap up show which is ending right now I think is really good to have. And for those that want to watch live tennis its on from 5 a.m. to like 1 p.m. and then it ends. NO REPLAYS OF CAPRIATI OR WILLIAMS' MATCHES 3 TIMES IN ONE DAY. PLEASE. I HOPE NOT.

Yes Raftermania, I have been posting here and there for a couple of weeks again. Overall I like the bunch here, just every now and again somebody says something to remind me that idiots have computers as well. All has been well so far, not much flaming going on lately.

yes i hope they do mix it up and not show americans just slaughtered on the clay. i would rather eat $h*t than see roddick play on the red stuff.

With all the live matches going on now, espn2 has only commentators and Brad Gilbert talking for at least 20 consecutive minutes and no match play is being shown. That is inexcusable. Show and match and do commentary.

Now they're showing the agassi press conference instead of live mauresmo action. They should be showing the press conference between matches or at least on a changeover. They would never interrupt his match with a mauresmo press conference, that's for sure. Thank God he lost. Now if Roddick loses, we might get to see some other people play. For those who keep b i t c h i n g about sharapova's matches being shown, they didn't show it despite her # 2 ranking so don't complain about her getting air time like the williams sisters.

It's ok if you're not a wta fan. In any case, too much talking without showing of matches has me disappointed.
