It's wild how he has a knack for that.

“Patrick Mouratoglou: Djokovic, because he did not lose a match this year (I do not count his disqualification at the US Open as a loss). He is a great clay-court player, beat Nadal many times on clay, and the conditions this year are extremely difficult for Rafa -- plus he lacks competition.”
give this man a TTW account!
Lol, I hope the tour doesn't have to wait for Federer to do it again. I'd make it my life's mission to never let TTW forget if he did thoughYe olde Snuffa!

Just read my sigATP rules state that: Players shall not at any time physically abuse any official, opponent, spectator or other person within the precincts of the tournament site. For purposes of this rule, physical abuse is the unauthorized touching of an official, opponent, and spectator or other person.
Do you care so much what someone close to what you want to believe says or that your favorite player has been eliminated from such an important tournament in the most humiliating way possible as a disqualification for unsportsmanlike conduct that is written in a regulation?

4 losses in the semis....Tsonga, Murray, Del Potro, Novak
Because this the first time he going to equal Federer at his best event.Did Nadal ever succumb to pressure at any time in his career? He's been picked as the favourite for almost every single RG dating back to his debut. Didn't affect him at all. Why would it now?
Medvedev is probably a little better on clay than most are giving him credit for, but clay court artist???
Also, when does Nadal ever implode?
Most people think it would be poetic to have Nadal and Federer at 20 each. It annoys Djokovic fans hugely and rightly so but he is essentially the guy who did well in the Fedal era. Problem is most of the world still tend to think about tennis as Federer and Nadal among the casual fans. They sell tickets and newspapers so for the media it is a better story 20-20.You may be on to something. Most of them showed their disdain for Djokovic after the DQ and now here they are making him favorite based on a win over Diego and Ruud lol.
I think he meant ThiemMedvedev a clay court artist? He said it’s the worst surface created by man. LOL
Djokovic didn't impress you but Nadal who lost in the 1/4 finals did?Djokovic's level in Rome didn't convince me enough to back him at Roland Garros tbh. He will be pleased with the draw and who knows how will the different conditions impact the top contenders but Nadal to me is the RG favorite as long as he's playing decent.
Djokovic impressed me more in Rome obviously but BO5 is a different thing. If Nadal struggles to play himself into form by the semifinal then it's a problem, but until then he's the man to beat at RG.Djokovic didn't impress you but Nadal who lost in the 1/4 finals did?
This is not RG anymore. The court is not even CLOSE to what it was before.Djokovic impressed me more in Rome obviously but BO5 is a different thing. If Nadal struggles to play himself into form by the semifinal then it's a problem, but until then he's the man to beat at RG.
Yes but this is a different year, different conditions and different circumstances. Nadal has hardly played in 6 months and the conditions are against him. He also has a tougher draw than novak. Rafa has the pressure trying to tie Federer too. Djoko and Thiem are also in great form. Zverev could be a tricky quarter final if he gets there in these condition.I guess winning a title 12 times(in the last 15 years and with only 2 loses) is not enough to qualify him as the favorite...
All the experts are getting it wrong.
The French Open will be cancelled this year.
Sure, his chances are not as high as usual, and he bound to lose eventually here, but he is still nadal and this is still clay BO5, his pet slam while thiem took only 1 set off him here and novak did not play his best in the french for quite a while, he was far from unbeatable in Rome as well, he knows that himself. Lets see how the conditions effect the players before we throw nadal under the bus.Yes but this is a different year, different conditions and different circumstances. He can’t win the french every year and this year looks like it could be a step too far for him.
No, he is literally 24-0 on Finals & Semifinals here.
If he reaches the Top 4 it means that he is in imperious form, you need to take him out before that.
6-0 vs Federer (4 sets lost out of 22)
5-0 vs Djokovic (4 sets lost out of 19)
3-0 vs Thiem (1 set lost out of 10)
2-0 vs Murray (0 set lost out of 6)
2-0 vs Ferrer (0 set lost out of 6)
1-0 vs Wawrinka (0 set lost out of 3)
1-0 vs Del Potro (0 set lost out of 3)
1-0 vs Ljubicic (0 set lost out of 3)
1-0 vs Soderling (0 set lost out of 3)
1-0 vs Puerta (1 set lost out of 4)
1-0 vs Melzer (0 set lost out of 3)
True. And the conditions don't suit his game compared to prior but it's still Nadal. 19 time Grand Slam champion. You just have to put him as the favourite on his turf where he's had the most success and dominated everyone else at a level never seen before.Because this the first time he going to equal Federer at his best event.
Im sure many of his Monte Carlo wins were in damp cold conditions?True. And the conditions don't suit his game compared to prior but it's still Nadal. 19 time Grand Slam champion. Medvedev is one of the favourites after Nadal, Thiem and Djokovic.Cannot believe Drysdale picked Medvedev.
That's true as well. Good point. Nadal will adapt to the conditions. Whoever beats him in Paris will need to be redlining and playing at a top level for 5 sets. Not easy to do.Im sure many of his Monte Carlo wins were in damp cold conditions?
Early to say this but Wawrinka v Nadal could be mouth watering. That's true as well. Good point. Nadal will adapt to the conditions. Whoever beats him in Paris will need to be redlining and playing at a top level for 5 sets. Not easy to do.
sinnerThey are all wrong. Neither Nadal or Djokovic is going to win it.
That would be cool.sinner
With these conditions it's going to be out of a big hitter who can hit through the court, or Djokovic. Rafa is definitely not the favourite with little lead in prep and heavy, slow conditions.
Djokovic, Thiem, Wawrinka, Zverev - I give outside chances to make a final to guys like Tsitsi, Med, RBA. Nadal has an easy draw through to the QF's but during a cooler night match in Rome we saw what happens to Rafa's ball. Short and not bouncing/kicking.
Yeah idk where that comment comes from. In men’s tennis, no one in history has beaten themselves less times than Rafa has. The only time he kinda beat himself was when he missed that backhand in the ‘12 AO but even then, he made Nole play till his last breath to beat him.Medvedev is probably a little better on clay than most are giving him credit for, but clay court artist???
Also, when does Nadal ever implode?
On a dreary, cloudy, cold day on a lower bouncing clay court...it could be a lot better than their prior RG meetings.Early to say this but Wawrinka v Nadal could be mouth watering.

What do you make of this event? I cannot get into it. It is so dull. USO at least felt like a Slam maybe because sun was out?On a dreary, cloudy, cold day on a lower bouncing clay court...it could be a lot better than their prior RG meetings.
I think it will feel more special if Stan, Djokovic, Thiem, Nadal, Zverev all make it to the business end and we get some real epic battles. Regarding the weather, it looks like clouds, rain, and cold for the duration of the event. What do you make of this event? I cannot get into it. It is so dull. Sycophants pumping readers and ratings or perhaps journalists are as dumb as they seem to be?Out of 10 analysts, 7 have picked Djokovic for the title. Nadal gets 2 votes and Medvedev gets a lone vote.

2020 French Open experts' picks: Can anyone stop Novak Djokovic and Simona Halep?
Rafael Nadal may seem the obvious pick, but Novak Djokovic is hungry for redemption. On the women's side, Simona Halep is fresh and is the overwhelming favorite to run the table in Paris.www.espn.com
Jerry Bembry: Djokovic. He has only won the French Open once, in 2016, but he should be inspired and focused after he was defaulted at the US Open.
Pete Bodo: I think the fates have really worked against Nadal this year, which is the big picture explanation for why Djokovic will win.
Cliff Drysdale: Daniil Medvedev is a clay-court artist and ready to pick up the pieces if Nadal implodes.
Chris Evert: Djokovic will be the winner because Nadal is a little vulnerable at this time. Djokovic is hungry for titles especially after the US Open fiasco.
Brad Gilbert: Tough call call between co-favorites Nadal and Djokovic. Slower, heavy fall conditions mean I am slightly leaning toward Djokovic -- who comes in after a victory in Rome -- to win his second French Open.
Tom Hamilton: Beware the wounded Djokovic. After his disastrous US Open, Djokovic will bounce back at Roland Garros in the uncharacteristic autumnal chill. With a favorable draw, Djokovic will knock over Nadal in the final.
D'Arcy Maine: Djokovic has won the French Open just once during his storied career, but this might just be his best chance for a second major title on clay. The world No. 1 won last week's Italian Open in convincing fashion -- dropping just one set en route to the trophy -- and he will undoubtedly be looking for redemption in Paris after his controversial exit in the fourth round in New York. With Nadal -- the 12-time Roland Garros champion -- out of form in his one tournament (in Rome) since the restart, it feels like things are aligning for Djokovic to win Grand Slam No. 18.
Patrick Mouratoglou: Djokovic, because he did not lose a match this year (I do not count his disqualification at the US Open as a loss). He is a great clay-court player, beat Nadal many times on clay, and the conditions this year are extremely difficult for Rafa -- plus he lacks competition.
Pam Shriver: Djokovic is your men's winner because his motivation following his US Open default is sky-high, and he won Rome. Nadal is not his usual Roland Garros-ready self, and no one is playing better than Djokovic right now.
Alexandra Stevenson: Everyone thinks Djokovic. I'm going with Nadal. This will tie him with Roger for 20 Grand Slams. I like his mental edge more than Djokovic. Nadal is my forever clay champion. I like the look of Dominic Thiem. It would be amazing for a double Slam.
Rennae Stubbs: Nadal because until he's not functioning as a tennis player, he will be the favorite.
Remember , tennis.com went 50-50 between Nadal and Djokovic

2020 Roland Garros Expert Picks: Our champions, dark horses and busts | Tennis.com
They didn't play the US Open, but Rafa and Simona are still popular title picks in Paris.www.tennis.com
JOEL DRUCKER: Rafael Nadal
Doesn’t matter that he lost in his only prior 2020 clay-court event. Doesn’t matter that there’s a good chance autumn conditions could minimize off-the-charts topspin. What matters: he’s Nadal.
MATT FITZGERALD: Novak Djokovic
It’s 2020: all bets are off. Novak is more than due for a return to championship Sunday in Paris and hasn’t lost a completed match this year.
STEVE FLINK: Novak Djokovic
Fresh from his Rome triumph, the Serbian has the confidence he needs. Thiem landing on Nadal’s half of the draw also helps.
CALE HAMMOND: Rafael Nadal
Statistically speaking, Rafa to win Roland Garros is the safest bet the sport has ever seen, and will ever see. He’s 93-2 in Paris and a perfect 12-0 in finals. Not picking Rafa to win is borderline selfish, attention-seeking behavior.
ED MCGROGAN: Novak Djokovic
He doesn't have to beat both Thiem and Nadal; he's seamlessly transitioned to clay from hard courts and a hard place; he won't be lacking for motivation. His quarter is pretty cushy, too.
NINA PANTIC: Rafael Nadal
His loss to Schwartzman in Rome was surprising, but the world No. 2 will have a few rounds to settle in. Given how little he’s played, health shouldn't be an issue.
JORDAAN SANFORD: Novak Djokovic
The world No. 1 managed to put the past in the past in Rome. The Serb’s draw to the semifinals poses no threats, and as such, he'll likely have a full tank left for the rest of the journey.
STEVE TIGNOR: Rafael Nadal
Rafa may have to go through Fognini, Zverev, Thiem and Djokovic to win, but can you really bet on him to lose at Roland Garros?
Why? Because that's what his ATP ranking says?Medvedev is one of the favourites after Nadal, Thiem and Djokovic.
These idiots often just watch the slams too. they've bought their own dribble that Zverev and Thiem are going to choke for the rest of their careers or are deeply impacted by the U.S. Open final. Probably half of these people think Tim chokes all the time when it’s been mainly physical the other times he’s come up short.Did Dominic Thiem die???Why isn't he even being mentioned?
Are these "experts" forgetting who just won the US Open? Who made the RG finals twice in a row? Who beat Djokovic twice at RG? Who beat Nadal at AO this year?
Strange predictions.
Don’t think he has the stamina but then it doesn’t take much stamina crush everyone in three sets so it could happen in a dreamworld.it would be so refreshing if Sinner would take it
Betting favorites often go by popularity. Mefly wasn’t going to get far here.Medvedev is one of the favourites after Nadal, Thiem and Djokovic.
