ESPN's corner coverage Hrbaty/Norman - kudos

"wah wah wah. ESPN doesn't get it."

They just dedicated time to a bunch of journeymen duking it out on an outside court. On a handheld camera! Then they switch out to Healey/Delic.

Great coverage from the worldwide leader. In past years, we'd get a Venus rerun. Not this year.

Well done.

Nice little bit on the "Federer Fun House" showing all those impossibly awesome shots Federer hits on a daily basis.

That was cool. Stuff like that is great. Bravo ESPN...especially for keeping this stuff live at 1:15 am

Didn't get a chance to see the "Federer Fun House". Went to sleep. Was it on after the Healey/Delic match?

And, I agree. ESPN outdid itself with the court 18 handheld coverage of the "men in pink". Couldn't see much, but they get an A+ for effort. Nice to see a bunch of people play who I have hardly heard of before.

the fed funhouse was a great litle piece...and it was really nice to hear PMac making the 'executive decision' to get a cameraman out there to court 18. Personally i love those little montages- I wish there were more of them throughout the torunament!

I liked the coverage last night, especially of Delic/Healey, but would have really liked them to show the Ferrero match live instead of re-showing the Federer smack down of Mayer.

I second that. Save the early round Venus/Serena/Roddick, the coverage has been very solid and well-balanced.
