I cannot believe that Löw went with CAN and not Weigl - that should've been in the starting 11 since the the very fist match.

Fully ready to cheer Les Bleus onwards to victory. Not feeling to cocksure about this one, though. Fingers crossed.

Some of the worst ref'ing in the history of football... French guys can tackle (like American Football) German guys in the box and nothing. Oh well, if the Germans win it will be overcoming the home-town referees. What can you expect in Marseilles?

I know right... I wonder how much the French paid off the referees to call this game.

Evra of all people earning a penalty thanks to winning a header...

The commentary here is high. The camera was showing Ozil prior to the penalty and he said "It's going to be a very interesting 2nd half if Ozil converts this" :D

Germany to get a player sent off, book it (no pun intended). Emre Can is a solid candidate.

ETA: almost came true already: Boateng muscle pull, sent off. Bad news for the Germans.

So we have Portugal vs the Mixed team of Algiers/Ghana/Nigeria/Senegal in the finals.

Wow.........not racist are we.

Where do you think all those dark skinned folks who play for Germany, Belgium, Portugal, England came from?

And I guess none of your American stars in sport had family origins somewhere else.

Stupid comment.

It's a joke, not a d*ck. Don't take it so hard.

It's a very sensitive subject in Europe and in France in the past.
But of the current team..............
Pogba, Sissoko, Rémi, Matudi, Kante, Coman...........all are born in France and Payet was born on Reunion which is also a French dept.

Portugal now have a chance to win this, they would not have had any chance v Germany imo.

France are now the red hot favourites to win on home soil, that is a lot of pressure. Portugal on the other hand should be nice and relaxed but highly motivated, no one expects them to win this.

Portugal have the definsive ability to really frustrate France and nick this match. A bit like Euro 2004 where Greece (strong defensively) stunned the home nation in the final.

Still backing France of course, an early French goal could render all the above obsolete.

I strongly disagree with the SF schedule, should have been Tues and Wed, no on should have to play a SF on Thurs and then a final on Sunday. Will be interesting to see how much of an impact this has on France

He is a dummy, so he wouldn't know (although it is still a sensitive subject, I believe).

Congratulations on the win, btw!

I cannot miss this but I fear for a borefest with Portugal doing everything they can to try to not lose.

The first half rivals the Wimby final for the biggest dud of the year.

Will not be surprised if this winds up 0-0 and PKs decide the Cup.
