He doesn't stink? He is one of the worse national coaches I've ever seen. He pretty much destroyed the great football spain used to play. The titles are pretty much merits from the players (ONLY).

If you are talking about Del Bosque, Spain won World Cup and Euros under him. Also don't forget the success Real Madrid had while he was in charge.

He just followed up Luis Aragones' fantastic job - but Aragones had a totally different mentality where the team played a vertical and entertaining football, that Euro 2008 was pleasant to see. Then del Bosque came and just said to xavi and iniesta "do whatever Guardiola tells you to do in Barcelona".
World Cup 2010 was a suffering to the viewers, a sequence of terrible 1-0s that were based in nothing but luck (Paraguai missing a penalty and Robben choking twice in front of Casillas). Thus, he picked up one of the best generations in the world. Steve McLaren would've done the same job if he had the options Del Bosque had.
In Real Madrid was pretty much the same situation - but this time he wasn't limited to players of a single nationality. Not to mention that in 2001 he had Zidane in his squad.
Thankfully since the confederations cup 2013 his mask is falling. I thought that humiliation against Holland (the worse performance by a team defending the trophy in the history of world cups) would've been enough, but apparently it wasn't. And now he selected one of the worse squads I've seen for the euro. The guy left Torres out for calling Adruiz! He even called Pedro and Bartra!

Though he has lost the plot recently, I think you are really underrating what he has done in the past.
Scorelines aside, they were visibly better in all of the games. Spain missed the penalty themselves in the match against Paraguay. Knocked out Germany who were scoring for fun prior to the semi... Anyway, what about the next Euros? That didn't have a sequence of 1-0s. They scored many goals and conceded only once in the entire tournament. I missed him saying that to Xavi and Iniesta. Not a fan of Barca's style? It was indeed a winning formula at that time both for club and country.
Since Del Bosque, no Real Madrid coach managed to win both in Spain and Europe despite all the spending they have done over the years. One of the two Champions Leagues was won before Zidane joined.
I thought he would be sacked too after that debacle, but all the previous success saved his @$$. Will probably be kicked out if they don't win the title again, which with this squad and performances looks very unlikely. I am more amazed how Hodgson is still in England. He has no such past glory to rely on.

I love Barcelona's style, but Spain (as a team) is nowhere close. And in euro 2012, apart from the final, was another sequence of 0-0 and 1-0 (that 2-0 against france was with a goal in the very last minute).
My main thing with Del Bosque is that he ruined the joy of watching Aragones' team playing. I mean, look at Spain in euro 2008 and then in Euro 2012.
