At some point in time, there were petrol stations everywhere and people who did the pumping and now there are not.

It's not that hard to install BEV charging stations. You may even be able to run them off power poles.

When one uses that line of argument it’s an attempt to shut down a viewpoint with a statement that doesn’t advance the your cause or the opposing view.
The reality is that EV’s have their challenges as we saw recently in Florida and they need to come up with a solution that works. Another problem is what to do with residences who live in high rise units and want to charge their cars. Having charging units under ground below the units is possibly risky. Could they solve the problem by having the charging locations somewhere else,
On another point, one is not a fossil fuel supporter or climate denier for daring to question about the effectiveness of EV’s as a counter measure for climate change. It we are not even allowed to have a conversation and ask the question with the fear of being demonised then how do we move forward. Do we just brush everything under the carpet and pretend to blindly follow the narrative.
Information should be allowed to flow freely and various viewpoints should be given the opportunity to be presented.

Australia has no auto industry and a climate policy in shambles due to bipartisan fear of the fossil fuel lobby, so the quickest solution is to get more Chinese BEVs into the country.

I think other things are happening right now in EU countries - namely ESG snd companies have been advised by globalist entities to only deal with other entities who also comply with ESG values and I believe that this will cause problems. Whether China and the BRICS aligned countries follow this agenda will be an interesting question. Lately stories are coming out that China is going into recession and may need to pivot their strategy moving forward. No doubt China has invested lots of resources into manufacturing EV’s with massive government subsidies and from this many things could happen as profit levels crash and debt levels rise. One option being implemented is Chinese companies manufacturing in other countries to counter tariffs. Alternatively it’s quite possible that legacy brands such as Ford and GM might get China to make cars for them.
Further down the track, Porsche, Toyota and Honda may bring forward their synthetic fuel program that they are developing in. South America and the motor racing and classic car industry and community are interested in this idea.

Because I've known you to be a racist **** from day one.
You are calling me racist for no reason whatsoever but only just an attempt to stop people from having a discussion. The video I shared has zero reference to race and simply what Andrew Henderson is on about was helping people to move to countries where they can find more personal freedom in the world.
He included countries in Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin and South America.

Who is the fossil fuel lobby that Australia is scared of ?
What evidence do you have that selling any EV will change the climate ? The maths proves that a Mazda 2 uses less carbon emissions than a Tesla ?
I have read no data that proves that going electric will reduce the temperature of the planet.

Most newer areas don’t have power lines or poles because they are underground and some of the newer apartments built right now have over 460 units. There are lots of logistic problems trying to meet that demand if you want to cater for all those residences.
If you live in a free standing house and you can afford to set up your home charging, then you may have an opportunity there, but even then all home systems require smart meters and they can dial you down if they don’t want you driving - this is a fact, has already happened and is not a Klaus conspiracy.

The reality is that China was under Western imperial control and the only domestic force capable of wresting back Chinese control were the communists.

And now the communists have invented a form of capitalism stronger than the Western version. These facts give rise to a visceral China hatred among Western policymakers.

How much will the climate improve if Australia imports 20 million EV’e from China ( which would take decades )

Nothing to do with Andrew Henderson’s video on moving to places around the world to seek more freedom.
Which western policy makers are you referring to - certainly not the ones in control right now - WEF, UN, WHO, Black Rock, Vanguard, State Street - they are pushing globalist policies that support centralised administrative structures for all countries.
Individuals meanwhile have no hatred towards what the CCP does in their own country however many individuals like to live in countries that don’t have government over reach - and they oppose that and don’t like losing libertarian and democratic values.
Unfortunately if you are promoting the rise of totalitarian living then I will come out and say that I oppose that type of structure.

The reality is that China will erect tariff walls against subsidised European agricultural and other products and we'll be in a lose-lose situation.

It will also choke off the supply of needed minerals to both America and Europe and slap retaliatory tariffs on America.

The Western consumer used to cheap imports will see the mother of all cost of living increases.
Who started all this by trying to manipulate the auto market? Smart people know better from the beginning and don't do something stupid like subsidize EVs.

Oh, by the way, this same government hid what they knew about Covid spreading and didn't take the proper steps to contain it. Containing it could have prevented all the enormous steps taken and enormous amounts of money spent. Containing it would have prevented all the inflation that happened.

BEVs face more significant challenges in the aftermath of natural disasters.
A week after the hurricane and we still have widespread power outages in NC. Electricity infrastructure still severely impacted in NC.

The article from Quartz titled "Saltwater can make EVs burst into flames. Here's why" discusses the risks associated with electric vehicles during and after Hurricane Helene.
  1. Reports of EVs igniting spontaneously emerged after Hurricane Helene, with saltwater being a primary factor.
  2. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis advised EV owners to relocate their vehicles to higher elevations before the hurricane to avoid submersion and reduce fire risks.
  3. Tesla recommends towing submerged vehicles at least 50 feet away from flammable materials until a mechanic can examine them.
  4. Saltwater is particularly hazardous to EV batteries because salt is an effective conductor, potentially causing short circuits.

Focus on upgrading the grid and building the charge stations first.
Do that first before obnoxiously agitating for BEV mandates.

When will our favourite BEV Bart ever learn?

Survey participants gave a wide range of reasons why they would not consider an EV as their next vehicle.

The top ones included concerns over lagging charging infrastructure (19%) and vehicle range, the higher upfront cost of EVs compared with gas-powered cars (18%), worse EV performance in cold weather (5%) and general distrust of a technology they deemed too new and unreliable (11%), according to the poll results.

Our favourite Bart wants to dictate to the masses. A ruthless "any means to an end" person.
In this case the ends is prematurely imposing costly inconvenient BEVs onto the masses. The means is climate fearmongering and any other intimidation tactics.
That is why he obnoxiously agitates for BEV mandates instead of doing something constructive for the masses and focus his efforts on upgrading the grid.

You and your fellow Sinophobes forget the size of China and its domination of world industry and despite these issues, China is transitioning to renewables.
Nobody is forgetting the size of China and their population but it’s the hypocrisy and name calling that makes it hard to understand your position on matters and the logic behind it.
For example - here’s an example of the positions you concurrently hold:

1. Australia has had a decade of climate denialism because they still have 21 coal plants and produce 1.2 percent of all emissions. All you people that support these coal plants are climate denialists
Then:
2. China has 1421 coal plants and is building new ones every year so they can have cheap energy to build solar panels, turbines and EV’s. Aren’t they so superior that their economy can do all this so cheaply and don’t you dare criticise all this and their 38 percent emissions because i am going to call you a sinophobe and a racist for making this point.
When you hold these two views at the same time it cannot be accepted as making any sense or logic or having reasonable fairness in your argument.

And on another note I do agree that western countries are in a form of decline and other countries are rising. Even Andrew Henderson said this ( despite me being called a racist for sharing one of his videos ) but if you look at why western countries are declining it’s not because of the failure of free market capitalism system , but the infiltration of totalitarian ideology and cultural Marxism ( since 1971) into all our institutions designed to intentionally damage western democracy from within , free market capitalism and the fairness of meritocracy and pioneer spirit in achievement .

Now if one says this to you - you don’t want this idea or truth to be advertised so you call these people right wing conspiracy theorists , just so you can divert the truth and shut them down and attack their character and the globalist don’t like this being said either - that’s why they want all governments around the world to censor everyone. They are doing this with the usual marxist strategies and the introduction of linguistic terms and policies such as disinformation and misinformation bills being passed through parliament as quickly as possible so they can shut down truths about many things they don’t want everyone hear or to know .
The unfortunate part of this disturbing trend is that if people don’t wake up to this then the western world could decline for the next 50 years before the tide turns.

In conclusion the positive message however that is good to know is that systems that put the individual in front of the collective always emerge as the winner because people don’t like centralised oppression and even more important it’s because collectivism goes against human nature, wisdom and spirit and always ends in failure. We know that tue globalist collectivists are trying to have another go at socialism but this time it’s being done through the digitisation of centralised technocracy and the electric car is just one part of the program being implemented under the lie of a climate change mitigation measure - which we know will not make any difference to the temperature of the planet.

This shows me that you don't know how inflation happens. You are just like Donald Trump who thinks tariffs are taxes on foreign countries.
