Examining the Possibilities of the 2022 Roland Garros Draw

That would be impossible to prove. Here are the last few GS draws with the top seeds in each quarter:

AO 2021: 1-6, 3-8, 4-7, 2-5
RG 2021: 1-8, 3-7, 4-6, 2-5
WB 2021: 1-5, 3-8, 4-7, 2-6
USO 2021: 1-6, 4-7, 3-5, 2-8
AO 2022: 1-7, 3-6, 4-8, 2-5

seems pretty random to me
Ao 21 means- Djokovic- Alcaraz, Zverev- Ruud, Tsitsipas- Rublev, Nadal- Medvedev ( I would love this draw)
Rg 2021 means- Djokovic- Ruud, Zverev- Rublev, Tsitsipas- Alcaraz, Nadal- Medvedev ( Don't like this one especially for Rafa)
Wb 2021- Djokovic- Nadal, Zverev- Ruud, Tsitsipas-Rublev, Alcaraz- Medvedev ( Well a bit unbalanced in top half )
Uo 21- Djokovic- Alcaraz, Tsitsipas-Rublev, Zverev- Nadal, Medvedev-Ruud( I would love this great one for Rafa)
Ao 21- Djokovic- Rublev, Zverev- Alcaraz, Tsitsipas- Ruud, Nadal- Medvedev (This seems most balanced)

Isn’t the main conclusion from this that Nadal and Alcaraz are less likely to meet? If you put Nadal in the draw then Alcaraz has 3 positions he could place in the draw and 2 of those are in the other half so only 33% chance of them being in the same half of the draw.
That's correct. Also I think 5 and 6 being in the same half shouldn't be happening too often as it would make the half too strong in most cases

Yes if you see above, 5 and 6 together have happened only once in last 5 slams although if draws are fair there is no reason for any sort of combination have lesser ir higher chance since it's random in tgat case with equal chances but if it's rigged then that 5-6 theory could be true

In the spirit of draw rigging being real - the most likely rigged match is undoubtedly a Djokovic/Alcaraz QF.

With Nadal now something of a wildcard, and the blockbuster matches being any combination of Nadal-Djokovic-Alcaraz, there's an excellent chance RG will rig Djokovic vs. Alcaraz in order to 'lock in' at least one blockbuster.

Also Rg organisers would not want Rafa to not go deep and with his foot issues they might want to hand him an easier path

We're close.

The draw is huge here.

Rafa could get Sinner in R4 or Norrie.

We know which one we'd prefer....

he could get Djokovic or Tsitsipas in QF (!!), or Medvedev....

he can only play Alcaraz by SF.

Rafa needs to avoid Sinner in R4 (taxing), Djokovic and Tsitsipas in QF (hope for Medvedev).

Djokovic's aligned R4 seeds are all relatively harmless, although Schwartzman could be taxing.

Djokovic's draw fortune/misfortune will come down to his QF, which will be:
Nadal, Alcaraz, or Rublev, Ruud...

The SF is Zverev or Tsitsipas, but obviously could also be Nadal, Alcaraz.

Schwartzman can be really taxing. I think he took a lot out of Rafa in last year's QF. Hope Novak draws him.

Ain't 9-16 seeds treated equally in the draw?

I believe Medvedev is taking a wildcard for a 250 event in Geneva before RG. I think it's likely that Nadal is #4 and every other seed goes down one. If Nadal exits early in Rome (defending 1000 points) he may end up as #5 and Stefanos can be #4 (if he wins or makes it to Final). Imagine if both Joker and Bull get thrown under the bus and face each other in the QF then needing to defeat a combination of Alcaraz or Tsitisipas/Zverev to win the title? Stranger things have happened.

No prophecy needed. RG wants both Joker and Bull to cancel each other and have a new champion.
