Today I came across an AMAZING deal on Prince's Rebel 95, now my usual racquet is the 6.1 95 BLX 18x20. The deal was SO good I couldn't pass it up, but at the time I wasn't sure whether I was just going to turn around and sell it or keep it as a third racquet (I have 2 BLX's). I hit with the Rebel once a long time ago so I can't really remember it that well but I was just wondering, for those of you who have hit with both, do they have a similar feel (stability, plowthrough, touch, etc...).

I know they have similar specs, both are 18x20, the Rebel is 11.6 unstrung the BLX 11.7, one big thing is that the Rebel is noticeably more headlight, possible doubles stick? anyways I really need input as soon as possible

thanks,

Chez

if you found AMAZING DEAL, keep it as a third racket and experiment with rebel. people might give some info based on their opinion but you are the one who will use rackets. who knows after a month, you might sell your wilson and get more rebels ^_^

I saw a brand new one at a local pro shop for $75. Since I already have 14 racquets, why would I get myself into a deeper hole?

Anyway, if you are happy with the BLXs, it does not make a lots of sense to acquire the Rebel 95 unless it's dirt cheap. In that case, you can always sell it later for more if you don't like the racket.

I have hit both and they are very similar. The Rebel feels a little lighter to me thru the swingzone, but they are both very headlite racquets. The Rebel has a bit more power and according to TW's tools, a larger sweetspot. The Rebel is definitely more muted and softer/flexier feeling. That "feel" to me is the main difference in the two, so you would have to hit with both and see which "feel" you prefer. I also found the Rebel very "arm friendly". I was able to hit for hours with it and my arm felt fresh afterwards. Something to consider as well.

wow, $75 is pretty good, I found mine for 79.99 at Dick's, which is strange I know, it was actually mis-priced so they changed the price but since when I bought it, it was still marked as $80 they let me have it for that price, and yeah I might just sell it if I don't like it

Yes, it was hard to walk away .. they have others for the same price: Head MG Prestige MP, Babolat Pure Storm Limited. I guess I better stop visiting pro shops.
