Ezone 98 Aqua/2025 VS PA 98 - Change racket?

Hey ,
Traditionally I have been playing with Blade or Speed MP
1. (Blade v7 98 16x19 --> switch to Head Speed MP 2022)
2. Head Speed MP 2022 --> switch to Blade v9 98 x16x19 --> Head Speed MP Legend
3. Currently alternating between Head Speed MP Legend - Wilson Blade Pro v9 18x20 - RF01 Pro

Have tried in the past also Pure Aero 100 for 1-2 months.
Thinking of trying Ezone 98 Aqua night or V8 2025 versus Pure Aero 98.

What is your honest opinion regarding these rackets compared to my previous rackets?

What about your rackets are you looking to change? Do you hit flat or with a lot of spin? What's your level? There are a million factors at play here, and I'm happy to help if I can learn more about your current situation and desires.

Why do you change racquets so much? What exactly are you wanting from your racquet? Do you string all of them the same or do you change your string jobs also?

Im generally satisfied with both. I can play well with really both of them. Not necessarily looking to change something probably in search of the perfect racket.
Attacking baseliner/all court style of play.
Generally, i resort to both top spin and flat hitting. Forehand through the ball + windshield wiper style. 2hbh.
Regarding strings i dont change much, traditionally depending on the racket i usually use lynx tour , alu power, hawk touch, champions choice and sometimes hyper g, tour bite soft , rpm rough etc.

Regarding Blade i really like the accuracy ,control on forehand but i miss some overall plow through on backhand, serves and the spin is not so great.
Regarding Speed MP i really like spin generation and power in both stroke wings + returns ,however it can be erratic. I have some trouble on first serve whereas second serve (kicks) are great.

Just looking on some comparisons between those rackets. Im really leaning towards trying an Ezone 98.

I switched from a ezone 98 v7 to an aero 98. Power level of aero 98 is equal or higher to ezone, but aero produces much more spin. It's better for grinding since you get the extra margin for error, but not as good for pure attacking tennis as the extra spin can give your opponents time to get to the ball (less penetration). The ezone also feels more "traditional" and I certainly found it easier to gel with at first since I was using control rackets for a long time before this. Aero 98 had a pretty steep learning curve for me.

It sounds like you like to attack and drive through the ball and doesn't seem you care as much about getting heavy topspin or grinding from the baseline. If that's the case then get the ezone 98 imo.

I think the Ezone has more in common with the Speed in terms of decent control and accessible power when you want to rip it. Whereas I feel like the Blade has more overall control.

For me the PA 98 had more natural spin potential and encouraged me to swing hard with lots of topspin but sometimes it got wild on me (or being truthful, I guess my technique was not as tight as needed in those moments). Ezone 98 2022 has lots of spin potential too but slightly less, with slightly lower launch. I hit a touch flatter so it fit my game more, and I find it slightly less stiff and more comfortable. Both really fun rackets though. I kinda wonder whether the PA 98 would help me build a higher level of spin into my game if I just played with that for 3 months.

With the right string they will play closer to the power and spin of the Speed but trade some forgiveness to move closer to the precision of the blade.

The ezone may need a small or more aggressively shaped string to compete with the PA in spin.

I have played and owned (at one time) all the 3 racquets you mentioned. All string with gut-poly hybrid string setup. If you like to use spin to attack, go for Aero 98. If you have a flatter stroke and/or have a more counter-punch style, go for the Ezone 98 night aqua.

Just my personal view, simply stay away from Ezone 98 2025 which is essentially the same racquet as the night aqua but more mushy and lost the crispiness. I simply do not like the 2025 one.

Alcara and many more flatten balls with aero98 where is the problem

I find pure aero 98 is harder to use than the ezone 98. Smaller sweet spot, less maneuverability and more punishing when missing the sweet spot.

Ezone 98 might lack some plow through especially if you get a lower than average swing weight one but adding some lead can fix that. If you can wield the blade pro the the ezone 98 tour might be interesting.

The difference between ezone 98 and speed mp is smaller than the difference between pa98 vs speed mp.

No, it is not true. I have ezone98 2022, 2025 and speed mp. The ezone is very different. Try direct flats with the mp and will see. The ezone is more closed than mp.
