FAA would have beaten anyone today

I'm here for it. He's likeable and his game is OK. I'd like to see him in full flight though.

I only watched the 3rd set, but yeah, Fed looked terrible. Couldn't get a first serve in, couldn't handle Felix's heavy groundstrokes, and was even caught wrongfooted at net. Was painful to watch. To be fair, FAA played great in that 3rd set, but even old Fed is supposed to have the variety to disrupt FAA somewhat. But he didn't and I can't even say that he is playing solid these days.

If Fed goes out before the QF at Wimbledon, which looks quite possible, I think he should just retire at the end of the year. Hopefully he can make a good run at Basel (esp if the competition there is easier). But unless he has at least a couple of finals at 500 level tournaments or above by the end of the year, he should retire. I say this as a huge Fed fan for 15+ years.

Basel isn't happening this year. Was cancelled already.
