Hi, just wanted to know if anyone in the Fairfield, CA area is interested in hitting around.

I just started back up with Tennis. Played in high school, but it's been 10 years already and have played off and on just occassionaly.

    Self rated at 3.0-3.5 NTRP.

It only took 5 years to find a hitting partner. haha

I moved out of Fairfield already. Try Alan Witt park.

    Hey, is that you, Alex?
I"m still playing in Berkeley, if you ever happen by. Mostly MWF mornings, starting around 10 till 1 or so. Some 4.5 show up around 1, but I'm not good enough for them, as you know.
    Hope to see you.

How's it's going Lee? I stopped playing for a couple years after relocating to the bay area and just got back into it a few months ago. Not that close to Berkeley and my work schedule has me playing tennis after work and weekends so it's hard to make it out MWF. If I get a day off, I might swing by.

Good to know you are alive and well.
I thought I was a jinx or something, since it seems lots of guys I hit with once just disappear off the map.
Hope things go good with you and your life...

I have been out of action for close to 30 years but looking to get back into the game. Currently living in Benicia and looking for somebody to hit with. Probably at 3.0 or a little higher.

Funny I didn't see OP's self rating, since in 2010, when I hit with him, he was on the USTA League 4.0 team....and he was solid 4.0.
Good thing about 3.0-3.5 is that you can find tennis at the local courts any time you show up, usually mornings for the retired, and afternoons for better player's who have to work.
Here in San Pablo Park in Berkeley, we have a regular MWF meeting for doubles from 9AM thru 1:30PM, nobody comes with a partner, draw cards for teams, 3-3.5 level, with 3 4.0's sprinkled in. One guy comes from past Rio Vista, a Wed and Friday regular. They're always welcoming new players and you can wait for a set as soon as one doubles set is finished, the new player's on the bench rotating in.
I'm not part of that crowd, but I should be, from the way I've been playing lately.

Thanks Stefanm. I will have to check them out. I am looking forward to playing again. Forgot how much I enjoyed the sport. Hard part will be getting to the level I used to be at. Really rusty at the moment.
