Federer wins Wimbledon to get his 19th slam and hold the outright record at SW19 with 8 slam and breaking the tie with Pete. However he does not win USO, WTF or end the year as world number one.

Djokovic wins USO, marking his return to the winner's circle, having seven straight seasons of winning at least one slam. Winning a 3rd USO title to better balance his HC slam distribution and also. Does not win WTF, or end year number one.

Nadal wins the WTF and completes the trophy cabinet of big trophies, and becoming the only active player to hold the super slam, all four slams, SOG and WTF. Ends the year world number one, equals Djokovic with 4 year end number ones.

Murray finally wins the AO in January on his sixth final, and now has won slams at three different events. Loses number one ranking along the way to Nadal.

Nadal winning WTF while others win a Grand Slam title each? Lol not acceptable scenario for Nadal fans.
No sir, we prefer another US Open title.
The battle for that USO title could be tougher than for several years. With Djoker and Murray on their way back, you could have all big4 playing on a decent level, which we havent seen sinse 2011/2012.

OK. Lets change a little bit. ;)

Federer wins Wimbledon.
Djokovic wins USO
Nadal wins AO
Murray wins RG

How do Nadal fans feel now? :D

Murray fans, would you rather he won RG or AO if you could only pick one?

lol no.

Who gets YE #1 in this scenario?

Federer gets it in this scenario, since he has multi slam year. Nadals double career slam to compensate for that in January.

Oh and Djokovic completes the Masters set by winning Cincy. :)

I would be happy with Federer „only“ winning Wimbledon until the end of the season. But the thing is, if I’d accept the scenario, I would know it beforehand that his season would be literally over in 5 days. So I wouldn’t do it. I like the tension and the feeling that he always has a chance to win, even though I’m not shocked if he finally doesn’t.

It's unfair to give Federer a slam if he's going to skip the French Open again next year. The others are playing 4 out of 4, he's going to play 3 out of 4.

So if we want to give only 1 win for everyone, I'd say:

Wimbledon: Murray
US Open: Nadal
WTF: Federer
Australian Open: Djokovic
French Open: Wawrinka

Being a Djokovic fan, I will say this. I want Cilic to win Wimby this year, and beat Djokovic to do it. Cilic has received a lot of flack about his abilities. I regard him as the best "big man" in this sport, and think he deserves another slam.

No. In my scenario, Federer plays RG and full clay season next year.

I can understand this. I don't mind Cilic winning Wimbledon, he will more than likely need to beat back to back Wimbledon champions to do it.

If Fed wins Wimb and USO i don't care if he never wins another tournament again. 250 500 1000 or Slam.

20 slams is a sexy number and Nadal or Nole likely never touch it.

Fed wins WO
Fed wins USO
Fed wins Cincy
Fed wins WTF
Murray wins AO
Fed wins RG
Nadal wins WO
Murray wins USO
Djoko can have a load of masters meanwhile.

the nadal winning nothing... can i order that ?

As long as Fed wins one of Wimb or USO, I am fine with it. If he is losing anywhere hopefully it is not a heart breaker and not against mugs. Only acceptable loss is to Djok.

1 major to each of the big 4 in the next 4 majors sounds very fair.

Sounds good to me...sign me up!

Only one thing though, 19 is an odd number so Federer would need to win 20 at the US Open 2018! I don't like odd numbers!

Fine with me. Although it sounds a bit too much like the typical American happy ending where everyone gets to complete his resume. But if Fed wins this, I don't need him to win anything else in the rest of the season.

I regard him as a doper.

But 19 is also one of the prime numbers, which are relatively rare compared to the set of all whole numbers. How glorious to have a prime slam count! Sampras couldn't do it.

Fine with me, good Sir.

As for your scenario, OP, I think it sounds fantastic. I would love for that all to happen.

Murray wins RG

FO of course. He already won a hard court slam, now he needs one one clay.

Nah, more like a testament to how some of his fans treated Djokovic like the devil for having the temerity to beat their idol in two successive finals.
I can understand that, but that's not Federer's fault though. He doesn't deserve ill wishes for the action of a few haters.
