nice to see djokovic and Federer fans genuinely sad for rafa. Shows good sportsmanship. Similarly rafa and roger fans have no reason not to congratulate novak if he gets his dream . Won't be easy but this is his chance now.

Tennis is bigger than any player the reality is Roger and rafa are no longer what they were,roger due to age and Rafa due to injuries so we should now enjoy the one remaining icon playing at his peak as novak won't last forever either

I'm shocked and saddened by the news.
Rafa has lived for and by clay. Having to pull out of FO for this 9-time champion is something hard to watch.
I wish him well, quick recovery and getting back soon.

I hope Nadal comes back to form and the same goes for federer too. I am a passionate Djokovic fan but I understand tennis is much better place having healthy fed and Rafa playing good tennis too.

The banter between fans is always good fun when these three icons are playing well. When injury takes one out it is a blow to all of us as we miss out on great matches and if we are honest over past decade ninety percent of the greatest matches in the majors in the semi finals or final have featured two of these three against each other. So many amazing matches. It is looking like we may never see those matches again though and the reality is a bit depressing.

Djokovic will be a most worthy winner of the French open. Being British Id now like murray to win if he can refrain from using the F word audibly although in terms of who the best clay court player is left in tournament it is djokovic by a country mile so she should win it . Djokovic has to control his emotions though. I keep saying it. Nadal withdrawing may help his nerves but it also could make it worse as now there is even more pressure.

But good luck to novak and im still avidly watching the tournament and going to enjoy it. Last clay court event for almost a year so want to enjoy the grinding rallies drop shots and sliding.
