If Davydenko makes it to the quarterfinals he's into Shanghai and he hurt his foot last week in St. Peterburg. If I'm him and I meet Gonzalez in the quarters, I "underplay" or come up with a phantom injury so I can avoid any foot problems in Shanghai.
Also, how far does Blake have to go to get to Shanghai? Probably depends on Robredo, Ancic and Gonzalez.
