If you use a babolat, Which Babolat do you use, what string, and why?
Pure Storm 60 /62 alu power with gut mains.
has most control
No Pure Drive Roddick?
Pure Control +, 20 gr. lead added, strung with X-Cel Premium 1.30 main and Polymono 1.25 coss at 23/26 kilos.
gogo i h8 babs
Pure Storm 98 with Technifibre NGR2 16. Love it.
Well, the Pure Control was somewhat OK I guess actually. The only good Bab for me.
I thought it was the aeropro drive +, but then I tried the standard aeropro control and immediately bought one.
Hate is currently wining LOL. Babolats aren't bad racquets at all. Just too stiff and often not solid enough.
The pure drive team plus. When you hit the sweetspot with this one the ball cannot go out. Also slices are amazing.
AeroPro Control is best by far. Undiscovered by most, since everyone just goes with the superlight Roddick stick.
babolat aeropro drive standard with 24grams lead, strung with babolat tour duralast 16g at 53lb
Pure Storm. Most control oriented Babolat I've tried. Also one of the most flexible. Quite comfortable to hit with.
AeroPro Drive is amazing...
Great power, spin...slices through the air...just wish it had a bigger sweet spot
Why would you want Babolats? Just curious.
Pure control standard
APD - suits me down to the ground. Great power and spin and v comfortable with one of those RVS things on.
Someone should do one of these for Wilsons, won't be me I don't know enough about the range.
I dont play with a babolat, and i really didnt like the aeropro drive even though it is suited to my type of game. I think the reason that babolat is so popular is because much of the tennis these days is played by juniors, juniors are attracted to cool/modern paint jobs which bab has. Also all of their sticks are suited to the modern game. I am about to demo a pure drive roddick, for me the specs seem to be what i am looking for and it is also based towards the modern game which i seem to have. I am a junior and for some reason i have gone the complete opposite way from what i have just said, though much of this is because of being on these boards. I play with a POG mid, which caters pretty well for my game. But most juniors and most players dont go on these websites and they see the flashy players, roddick, nadal etc playing with these grouped with the paintjobs and also targetted towards the modern game , to them it seems that they cant go wrong.
The only Babolat I can play with is the Pure control, that's it. All their other racquets are trash.
Pure Drive standard... I didn't like the cortex.
yeah, they're trash... that explains why so many pros use them
Just accept that your game doesn't suit a stiff, powerful frame. Don't say that they are trash. Many people use Babolat racquets with great success.
I can't imagine Babolat making a players racquet. I see them as a "power-oriented" company, even in their "control" lines. They're missing out on a large part of the market who wants that midsize heavy frame. They gain a lot of kids and teens because of their cool looks and power orientation, and the large number of pro's using their sticks.
why doesnt anyone like the aeropro drive PLUS racquets? i liked the standard one but accidently bought the plus one ...gonna use it 2morrow now and see how it feels....am i busted? or has none ov u ppl tried it yet ?
Aero pro control...I know its stiff but its a great stick
Pure Storm is pretty good
I use the Pure Drive Team Standard.
I hate babolats. When I play with them, I suck.
