Funny, this, since Federer's sometimes nicknamed 'Fedex'.Sponsored by UPS now?
it was 08 US open (guess night version and red/smoke for day: not sure though).Funny, this, since Federer's sometimes nicknamed 'Fedex'.
But anyway, when was that outfit worn?
Yeah, that Agassi stuff was brutal when it came out; time can't have helped. I can guarantee you that, if they came out with a retro line of the Challenge Court apparel, you'd be seeing it again at Marshall's. Really soon.I'm definitely not one of them. I still think Andre's old shirts are fugly and if they did re-relase his stuff I wouldn't buy it. But at the same time I like the current Nadal stuff.
^ i hope that was sarcasm
What???!!?? "The first true color introduction to tennis"??? You've got to be kidding. Just go back and look at what guys like Arthur Ashe and Rod Laver were wearing in the Seventies - they didn't have the bold graphics, but the colors were often quite bright. Kenny Rosewall in orange, Laver in red or green, Newcombe in pink, Ashe in all kinds of great coordinating outfits - rugby striped shirts, perfectly matched shorts, even crew necks. Way, way before Agassi and his silly neon stuff. Don't make such absurdly definitive statements unless you know you can back them up. (And we were wearing polyester in 1975, so that's not new, either.)You had to be there I guess- the time the era- compression shorts first introduction.
Those outfits were the first true color induction to tennis- it's what started outfits and the new fabrics for future generations

This gem of a shirt:
I just got mine in the other day, the colors are really cool together and the design is simple yet bold and stylish. Looks pretty slick
Looks like a nice quality shirt in the pic.
Is the material comparable to other Adidas stuff?

the only "loud" agassi clothes were from, like, 1990-1993. after that, nike started taming it down a bit. when everyone thinks nike agassi, they think two outfits: 1990 french open final (black and pink) and 1990 us open final (black and flourescent yellow), and maybe the '91 french open final (same outfit as '90 uso, but in purple rather than yellow). i don't know, i think that if either one of those shrts were re-released by nike, they'd sell pretty well. there seemed to be a lot of clammering for it when james blake wore that "tribute" shirt to agassi at the us open a few years ago. the flourescent yellow of shirts past is no different than the "volt" color of last year, and many people seemed to love that. what's the difference? are the old agassi shirts any worse than the orange with pink, blue, yellow stripes crew that nadal is wearing right now? or the flourescent pink with flourescent yellow line across the chest polo that he wore at roland garros last year? one exception to the years i'll make is for the shorts he wore at the beginning of 1995. aussie open and french shorts were hideous.
^^I only saw Borg wear these checkered Fila shirts in the U.S., but perhaps he wore them elsewhere too.
Had that one, and loved it. Had it in red, couldn't find the blue one.
Wish I could still find this outfit. Nadal's 2006 French Open. I wish Nike would use Blue and Black together more often.

that wasnt gay...Yea that one is pretty sweet. Nadal's biceps are sweeter though.
that wasnt gay...
I like Nadal, know what it takes to get big biceps (cause Ive got big ones) so I can fully appreciate how difficult it is to get them.
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GAY ABOUT THAT
you wouldnt understand cause you dont have developed biceps nor do you likely know anything about how to get them to grow that big.
