Favorite TRU PRO main?

After finally listening to a couple posters advice to give Tier One Ghost Wire a shot as a cross, I've got a set of 1.22mm GW on it's way to me to pair up with my current favorite string, Kirschbaum Evolution 1.25mm.

Is there a Tier One string you'd recommend to throw in the mains of one of my other PPP100 racquets (GW as the cross) to compare that set up side by side the Evo/GW set up (which will be compared to the full Evolution set up in my third PPP100 racquet)?

FireWire -- absolutely no question. Use that as your main if you like a soft/comfy co-poly with great spin potential and reasonable tension maintenance. Ghostwire is literally the perfect cross for it.

Black Knight or FireWire
BK - more control, less power, less spin and play consistently the all live
FireWire - less control, more power, more spin but played not so linear

I wuld try Black Knight

FireWire for me for the reasons above but Black Knight would be a very close second.

Currently playing my first set of FireWire and ghost in a pure strike tour. Most full sets of poly cause me pain. Not the case here. I find this set up comfortable after 8 hours of play. Generates good spin with decent pop. I’m thinking this might be permanent set up

Firewire first and Strike Force RIP second. I haven't tried BK in the mains yet. It was nice in the crosses with both a multi fil main.

I have just put my first set of Tier One strings in my Clash 100. FireWire mains with Ghostwire crosses, absolutely love it, exactly the string set up I have been chasing.

Tour Status 17 if you want some bite but not extreme (more control), or Firewire 17 if you want an aggressive shake for extreme spin. Both are great.

I've got two sets of Black Knight 1.23mm and a set of Ghost Wire 1.22mm. Going to be putting the string(s) in a Prince Phantom Pro 100 - should I go with a BKm/GWc hybrid or just go full Black Knight?

Currently my favorite set up in this racquet is a full Kirschbaum PL Evolution 1.25mm strung at 52/50. Would a full bed of Black Knight feel crisper than the full bed of Evolution?

Thanks for all the advice...looking forward to my first try of Tier One strings!

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong either way. I really liked it full bed in the PCT.

I would hybrid BK/GW. BK is pretty low powered and firm but really grips the ball. GW holds tension great and is only as stiff as many syn guts. You can't go wrong either way, but I'd drop the tension on BK from what you're used to if you go full bed.

My first play test was with sGut mains at 60# and BK crosses at 54#, which pretty much is my starting point for most hybrids in the racquet I used. It was perfect. Based on what you wrote you may want to try it at 48/44. Have fun!

The Black Knight definitely gives a crisper feel than the PL Evolution. I thought I liked that feel a bit better but after three or four times out with it I was missing the softer feel of the Evolution...the Evolution just offers much better touch and seems to expand the sweet spot of my racquet (Phantom Pro 100). I'm getting ready to compare a full bed of Evolution and an Evolution/Ice Code hybrid to my standard Solinco Tour Bite 1.20 hybrid. But right now I'm thinking a full bed of Evolution is going to be my goto string.

I'm sorry, I haven't tried Firewire.

Currently getting my Tour Bite mains strung with Evolution crosses...seeing how my two favorite strings will work as a hybrid.
