Feather weight tennis shoes?

I'm after a pair of lightweight tennis shoes - what is out there at the moment? Not fussed with having the latest and greatest, so last season's stock is perfectly fine.

Nike Lunarlite Vapor Tour weighs under 14 ounces for a size 10.5. I tried them on and they are incredibly light. That is as far as Nike offers, I am unfamiliar with the other brands.

I'm surprised that my high top basketball shoes weigh 1 oz less than that!

+1 for these.

Opinion on these shoes seems very divided on the forum, and they have been mentioned several times in different threads. I bought a pair anyway and they are absolutely fine for me, although there is a possible question mark over durability if they are heavily used. In any case I play for a maximum of 8 hours a week, and an average of 5 hours and after about 6 weeks have not encountered any problems.

Yonex 304s. A very light shoe. And I find the cushioning good, but then I'm not very heavy.

Significantly lighter than Nike BF2s (I've never tried Lunarlite Vapor Tour) or Asics Gel Resolution 2.

I think basketball shoes' outsoles are not meant to be as durable as tennis shoes' outsoles since bball shoes will usually be played on hardwood, not grainy concrete that tears rubber up.

I went from the Barricade V to the Babolat Propulse, which is only .4oz lighter, however, on my feet, the Propulse feels the lightest by a HUGE margin. I think it's because the weight of the Propulse is spread out to where all of the bulk is not right on the sole, so the shoe just feels like your foot and not like you're lugging around a huge chunk of rubber. I wear Puma Speed Cat shoes (suede) daily, and the weight distribution of the Propulse is identical.

New balance 900s!!!

Very light. No break-in needed at all. I've never had a shoe like this straight out of the box. Unreal shoe.

Super comfy yet stable/sturdy.

12 month durability guarantee. And they are very light, feels like I'm playing tennis in sandals, but with good support and lateral stability.

Plus, cheaper than most, if not all, nike/adidas stuff with 6 mo gtys.

In addition to the toe dragging on the serve. There's no (legit) movement in b-ball that would require the toes to have as much material.

And anyone who's sweating over a few oz. in their sneakers needs to build up their leg muscles... :)
