Fed Called out for Cheating?!.

But Fed actually acknowledged his MTO against Wawrinka was not due to any specific injury, which by definition makes it "strategic", doesn't it? ;)
No wonder Sewretch calls you all kinds of names !!! :D

He quite clearly talked of pain in his groin or upper leg for which he had to go off court. You have only to hear his interview with Courier after the semi. Then he added that Stan should not mind since he took one as well.

I just don't think two wrongs make a right. That's a just very wrong way of seeing things.

Sure Federer is not known for strategic MTOs as much but that doesn't automatically warrant that occasionally he is allowed. He should only call for MTOs if there is a genuine case for it. Does he not get the Edberg sportsmanship award almost every year?

You should print that article as a poster and put it on the wall in your room (you have your own room, right?).

Lit some candles under it.

See if that will help you maintain your purpose here, Salty.

It is what it is, Jazz_Hands. When you were claiming Nadal's comeback in 2013 was due to doping and when in 2014 he had a bad year you screamed "Bio Passport", you were setting the stage for this to happen.

I am sure that in your insane mind Fed's performance makes a lot of sense at 35 years old, whereas 27 year old Nadal in 2013 had a suspicious good return to form after a long absence. But then again, your bias is legendary, and bordering on mental illness.

Do you understand plain English ?

It's almost ten minutes but Fed IS back on court. So he was already on court by then. He seems to be moving freely so the point has already started. Otherwise the commentator could not make that statement. So a point has already begun, it would appear.

You are making it out like he is saying "It's almost ten minutes and Fed is NOT back on court".

C'mon Nadal Freak, you used to better than this. :D

Nadal's amazing 2013 came to fruition due to great scheduling, timing and hunger for more.

Nadal started off slowly, losing to guys he was probably supposed after such a long lay-off -- and eventually during the course of the year he was able to reach the heights of the No. 1 player, Novak Djokovic and even eclipse him.

It seemed very natural to me. It reminds me of a great "comeback" movie; in the vein of Rocky. Federer's victory reminds me very much of the movie "The Wrestler".

Isnt it time to let this stupid thread go? If MTO's should be discussed, they should so on a general basis. It was the same thing after Djokovic and USO.

Novak's MTO wasn't on a changeover, which many questioned (Stan included).
Roger's was between sets, which has a two minute break anyway, so the actual MTO was not that long.

None of them affected the outcome, luckily.

Not saying those MTO's were the same, but they still should be discussed on a general basis, because you can never prove if the MTO is fake or not. There will always be ridiculous claims from each fanbase. Make a rule that you have to wait before own serve game, then the problem should be solved. If you cannot wait until own serve game you should lose the game:)

You made a claim and you were PROVEN wrong, it wasn't almost 10 minutes, and you were given video/image evidence. So why are you reposting it now with absolutely no effect when the only logical thing to do would be to admit you were wrong and just move on?

I was right. Move on.

Agreed :)
To wait for the changeover is at least the etiquette, not sure if the rules say anything spesific about it. None of them seemed like sudden injuries.

Agree. People need to understand that athletes arent moral people, thats why we have drug testing. In other words, if you want to reduce fake MTO's, there has to be some kind of punishment.

No Salty, you have the things mixed up as usual.

There are doubts about Nadal, because of the reasons why he is not on tour, prior to returning to play on tour, not simply because he comes back strong (the recent revelations about TUEs do not do him any favours in that respect either).

He himself has also stated numerous times that he needs a lot of match practice to return to best form.

None of these were issues in Federer's case.

You are losing the plot, because you are running out of arguments why you should stay here.

Your current effort as it is is so half-hearted that I almost feel sorry for you.

Then I remember what you are and any such feeling is instantly removed.

They could've written that the Earth is flat. Would you accept it in that case or you would actually use your own brain?

Sorry, but where is the link between the two?
They could've written that the Earth is flat. Would you accept it in that case or you would actually use your own brain?

So you think The Telegraph would write something so irrational like the Earth is flat on a newspaper and publish it? They may as well fire everyone working for that newspaper. A better argument would have been to state that you can't trust everything you read on newspapers, internet, forums etc. But then again some of the doping allegations that some Federer fans make against Nadal are also based on what they read on the internet, newspapers etc. There are no first hand evidence to that.

Also, she's not completely wrong. Judging by the screenshots it clearly implies two things: one, the play was stopped at least for 10 minutes; second, Federer took a lengthy medical timeout.

And I have seen Federer fans giving Nadal and his fans grief on forums for MTOs. The last example that immediately comes to mind was the one at AO against Wawrinka in the final. So I think it's a fair game.

Yeah, that's why Fed got booed for asking the MTO just like the other instance

If the majority fans were Federer fans then they most certainly wouldn't boo Federer.

But more importantly, whether Federer got booed or not is irrelevant to the point I have made.

Your internal emotional dialog would be fascinating. That is, if I gave a crap what you think. You are utterly irrelevant.

Your conversations with Octobrina and Clay Queen are great though. Keep at it, champ!

Just make sure somebody is tending your burrito stand. Don't want things to go South.

I don't think Fed or Nadal dope, to be certain. Just having some fun with you (as usual).

For someone who has no connection to the sport whatsoever and doesn't ""give a crap' what someone thinks you are too salty, Salty.

Your only connection to the sport is this forum and your marathonian LOL-inducing convos, Jazz_Hands. Either that or you are the dumbest insider I've ever seen on any subject.

Pat Cash:
"You can't just stop a marathon if you're tired... I can't stress how bad this (tournament) has been supervised or looked at by the medical team here in the whole tour," Cash told BBC’s Radio 5 Live in the aftermath of Federer's 6-4 3-6 6-1 3-6 6-3 victory over Nadal. "It's wrong, wrong and wrong... It's cheating and it's being allowed. It's legal cheating but it's still not right," added Cash.

Where was Pat Cash when Rafa had the FO final against Nole stopped a few years back, and postponed to the next day since he was down in the 4th set. Here you are all bleating away about six minutes and change, whereas Rafa took an entire day off in the 4th !!! LMAO !

Yeah, where was he when spectators pulled out their umbrellas and the court was covered ? Did he hide himself under an umbrella?

Are you suresh's official backup ? Tennis mostly came from England/Northern France where it mostly rains, so tennis should not stop in the rain.

I am talking to suresh who talked of avalanches and snowstorms not stopping people. Not to rational people like you :D :D
