Fed decline more age and 2hbh vs 1hbh not racquet size

All the players currently ranked ahead of Fed are
1) Younger
2) Have 2 hand backhands
3) Use larger racquets

I believe 1 & 2 have a greater impact.

Fed with his 90 is better than everyone on the tour who has a 1hbh.
And they all use larger frames. He's also better than everyone who
has a 2hbh except for 2-3 players in the entire world.

When you're a top 5 player I doubt that a racquet change is going to make a huge difference. Will the 98 help Fed's 1hbh against the 2hbh's ahead of him?

Typically smaller frames are more beneficial to 1hbh's. I think Fed's switch to a 98 may give him easier power, but it's extremely doubtful he's going to win a bunch of majors now.

There's too many Federer decline threads. The fact that he is still in the top 5 ten years after his first slam is amazing in itself. People expect too much. Time catches up with all of us.

It's a loss of movement and reflexes, plus wear and tear on his body (especially his back, it seems) preventing him from explosive rotation. Simple as that.
