I don't believe in the conspiracy theories of draws being rigged, and even if so, I would think they would rather have a SF between Rafa and djoker this year since they had Djoker rafa last year.

So it is still 50/50 Fed will have Rafa in his draw.

Fed could barely run in Halle and his serve is off. He isn't making it past QF no matter what his seed is.

Bull doesn't need to vulture mickey mouse tournaments because he has confidence no matter what his ranking is.

What happened last year was destiny. No way on God's green earth was Nadal meant to be a 3 time Wimbledon champion.
Does it hurt like mad he is double Wimbledon champion and triple US Open Champion? The success of nadal and the pain it causes others is what I love the most. If he was popular with everyone id probably not support him lol.

love this thread, the obsession over Nadal is proof that even is haters accept he is GOAT.

As for Federer fans, they want a cup cake draw for the ********* yet claim others have cupcake draws....oh the irony . Cannot stop laughing.

Yeah, nice when you have your own private Challenger level grass ATP 500 for racking up some cheap ATP points isn't it.

Anyway, you can bet your houses now, that they will put Nadal and Djokovic in the same side of the draw. So congrats to another Fed Wimbledon cupcake, i guess.
So, pray tell, what is preventing Novak and Rafa from also entering the Halle Open? Or one of the other pre-W grass events. Toni and Rafa should be well aware that the placement of seedings for Wimbledon is weighted heavily for grass results for the previous 2 years. This is nothing new.

Don't know if it is a hard and fast rule... but I've noticed a pattern in the past decade. At least since 2010, the #1 and #3 seeds have been placed in the same half of the draw in even years. For odd years (like 2019), the #4 seed has been placed in the top half of the draw while the #3 seed is placed in the bottom half. It could be a coincidence tho. Because the pattern falls apart prior to 2010.

I'm not an opponent of the Wimbledon seeding system. I am familiar with the arguments from both sides but I really just shrug their seeding approach off as a quirk of the event. I'm not sure why you are tagging me in this.

Even I were an opponent of the seeding system, it looks it has yielded the correct 1 and 2 for this year's event anyway, so no matter.

This forum is a little bit too obsessed with seeding and draw. The cream usually rises to the top and the player who is in the best form wins, I can understand dissecting notably tough or easy draws but being seeded 2 or 3 between two elite players really doesn't warrant this much discussion.

Only tagged you cuz you were one of the 1st three to award a thumbs up to the Django post that I replied to. Was interested in seeing input from you other guys.

Have to agree with this. I'm tired of obsessing over a #2 seed that will most likely mean nothing, especially if Federer doesn't play well enough.

Honestly, if Rafa were to play and beat djoker in the semi, it would probably improve his chances as he will feel confident as ever and be firing on all cylinders. It can be looked at in several ways.

Seriously? Mind you I have a feeling Nadal won't repeat his run of last year so it probably won't matter much in the end whose half he falls in.
I mean to be fair Anderson did beat fed last year and was a finalist, so its not the worst semi-finalist opponent on grass also lol your putting a lot of hopes on zverev even getting to the quarters since you want him in novak's quarter.

They gave him the number 2 seed so that he can have a cake walk into the finals. Nadal and Djokovic will be on the same side of the draw just like last year.
If Djokovic and Nadal are in the same half, the draw was clearly rigged in favor of Federer
If Federer and Nadal are in the same half, the draw was clearly rigged against Federer
The only way to make it fair is to put Federer, Nadal and Djokovic all in different halves. Maybe have three different halves.

No if Federer and Nadal are in the same half then that is the way it is suppose to be, 2 is to play 3 in the semifinals while 1 plays 4.

Yes we do

https://www.holiday-weather.com/wimbledon/forecast/

Low to mid 20s with showers throughout the tournament. There are a couple of warm days next week but it’s been raining consistently for weeks beforehand.

Sorry, but the bounce won’t be high and the speed won’t be slow this year. Rafa will also have to go through both Djokovic and Federer (by seeding) if he wants to win it haha

Last year was his chance and he blew it.
Actually, only two days of rain in the entire tournament and 20s is C. Anyway, there is a heat wave approaching and Europe is bracing for it. If you guys look at forecasts now the weather will be in mid to high 70s (that's Farenheit for us Yanks) for both weeks of the tournament. Things are going to be hot, dry and not cold. I am not sure about the ball speed but I think that would make for a higher ball bounce.

Wimbledon are such geniuses aren't they? Fancy coming up with a formula in the early 2000s so that Federer would benefit in the year 2019. Such foresight!
Yeah, I believe they might have come up with the current Formula back in a 2002. However, even in Sampras' time and possibly before that, the seeding appeared to favor results on grass rather than overall ranking from what I recall.

Uhhhh unless you completely ignore the weather last year, it was in the 30s, especially leading up to the tournament.

It has been cold and wet leading up to the tournament this year.

Sorry, but Nadal isn’t gonna like the courts this year and he’s already whining about the seedings lol. Too bad. He has to suck it up :)

My post had nothing to do with Nadal. Stop showing your insecurities man. It was just a post talking about weather that I thought I'd share. Damn dude, can't even have a discussion about that here, I swear.
