Fed Thread (Appreciative): Which is his most impressive record?

You saw that!

The all wise owl has a little graduation cap with a thistle - anything approved by it (and Bartelby) must be true.

Haha the owl knows all. :D

Engineered your own hell, you have. Yes... hmm!

This must be how very important people at driving license centres feel like - no need to say things, just go around stamping stuff.
Many posters here must feel like that. When they quote you they are technically saying things but it's more of a stamp as it's always the same thing.
Octobrina quoting you basically means Fed Devotee, cheating readers. With Tennis Hands it's a bunch of supposed-to-be-intelligent remarks +.
With GOAT-t_ards it's #20, #3*5, #310, #5 etc..
With weak era theorists it's weak era, 23-15 etc..

I hadn’t quite thought about this, not this far anyway. Was gleefully asserting my new found authority stamping things. You might be on to something here. It’s an interesting string to try and pluck at.

I’m not sure whether or not Bartelby approves, will need to create a Stephen Hawking stamp for this one.

Can signatures withstand the rubber stamp of an image?

May be something with which to toy. After all... what is a "signature" if not a sort of vapor/methane trail encoded in retinal memory...

Maybe a true HTML signature might?

As I understand Xenforo it doesn’t host images, all images need to reside on other servers.

Right.

Your whole "Basically..." spiel.

Have a look at the options where this is created. Also, I've seen sort of "double" signatures on here: the conventional grayed out, smaller text tagline, of course, but then a sort of perma-sig at the end of a post, on top of that.
The end of post Sig like 'Sending using Tapatalk' or 'probably posting from the court'?? I think those come from some application these users are using. I ain't using any app so I can't tell what are the possibilities with these things.
The regular signature (that's in the profile) however is only a textual one. At max you can use emojis in it. There are not a lot of options with the signature. Atleast not on the mobile version of the site I am using right now.

I'm on a PC at the moment and there are no options. Not even bolding or emoticons.

It’s a restriction of xenforo. They aren’t allowing rich text formatting for signatures that include the usual tools for adding images etc.

Whether xenforo, or settings within xenforo, or a version of xenforo I can’t really say.

Wow. I just realized something.

You seemed confused about what FFW was referring to because you’ve probably [?] never seen the desktop version.

So you’ve never in fact seen our signatures.

Mobile versions of Xenforo don’t show signatures.

So actually, for the few months I quoted something you had said as my signature, you probably weren’t even aware of it.

What's that thing at the end of every. last. @3fees post?

"Cheers
3Fees :)" or something similar. He actually types this out every time?
Yeah that has to be something from an application. The site doesn't provide a utility like that. Seems like Tapatalk is some application these people use and they can set their end of signature on Tapatalk. The default signature seems to be 'Sending using Tapatalk'.
But what I was really getting at was it seems like a small image could be embedded in place of a smiley or whatever.
Tell me how to do it. Because my mobile doesn't show any option to embed an image in there. Its only text and ttw basic smileys.

No no. I have used the desktop version and seen many of your signatures including the one about a vagina:confused: or something.:p
I was asking about the signature you are referring to and the one some posters use which adds a certain text at the end of their posts.

I'm speculating a bit. I just thought a clever link or redirect with brackets might git 'er done.

I'm not a coder by trade. But I know someone who will be. :) It's why I flashed the Bat Signal.
Its not a coder thing lol.
They haven't provided any option that we can use to embed an image. Now I can't access their backend codes and edit them, can I?:p

Oh it wasn’t specifically about you, or me, more the idea that there might be people here that never use a desktop for TT.

Perhaps this is the reason why Xenforo offers no real emphasis on signatures? Many people never even get to see them at all.

Of Roger's numerous milestones, records and accomplishments, which (to you) is his single most impressive?

You're not restricted to these - in no particular order:

20 slam titles (and possibly growing - I wouldn't count him out)
3 slam titles since turning age 35 (and growing?)
10 consecutive slam finals
23 consecutive slam semis
36 consecutive slam quarters
310 weeks as World #1

Something else? But just list ONE, if possible - and make it something tangible, not "his artistry", his "love of the game", etc.
...
Although I personally prefer both Nadal and Djokovic to Federer, I've always liked Fed and have admired his huge place in the sport's history. So one doesn't have to be a Fedfan, per se, to admire or like him.
It's all these things put together, plus his being a wonderful ambassador for the sport, never giving up even after those gutwrenching 5-set losses to much younger rivals, being a great role model, family man, and of course his style of play. No one in history comes close to his elegance on the court. Someone may well break his Slam record. But memories of Fed's triumphs and defeats will be what we remember for years/decades to come.

P.S.
Re Vaginas, sorry, what Man of Steel said was just better. Try not to take it too personally.

I need a Bartelby Disapproved stamp.

One of Fedr's most underrated stats is managing to avoid a straight-set loss for 195 consecutive matches (from RG 04 3R to Kuerten until Cincy 06 2R to Murray). I think the only player in the Open Era that even came close was Borg, who managed to go two full years in 1979-80 without losing an official match in straights, which means 161 matches if TA's numbers are good here, but the total streak only has 2 more matches, because Borg lost his last match of 1978 in two tiebreaks to Fleming, and tanked the last RR match of 1980 Masters (played in Jan 1981) to Gene Mayer.

Okay, this impressive stat is so underrated I had no idea it existed. Thank you for the rich context, bringing its relevance to focus.

@ak24alive this is interesting. One immediate advantage is uploading images directly from the device. Where’s the server? Tapatalk presumably.

Tagging people needs to be figured out a little.

Sent from a bathroom somewhere in Taiwan while I figure this crap out. Not that crap, THIS crap.

That is exactly why I immediately jumped on the Tapatalk bandwagon. I am just enjoying this image upload from phone feature for now. After that I will probably uninstall this mess. Or maybe I will disable it's notifications and keep it and will use it when there's need for small talk. The best thing is no need for refresh. This has a lot of advantages.
