Fedal could've won the majority of their Slams since 2011 without Djokovic

Lew II

G.O.A.T.
Slams Fedal won until 2010 --> 25
Slam Fedal either won, or lost to Djokovic since 2011 --> 28

They could've even won 13 of the last 14 Slams they took part in without Nole! o_O

2017 WI win
2017 UO win
2018 AO win

2020 AO lost to Djokovic

2020 RG win

Puts to sleep the excuse that Fedal declined in 2011.

Who even says Nadal declined in 2011? StrongRule? lol

Djokovic had to muscle his way through Peak Nadal to get to #1. Blasted through his defenses like dynamite - 7 times in a row.

I mean, they both have 20 slams so we're ok ;)

H

Nadal def. declined in key aspects in 2011. I’m tired of mentioning it over and over
Sure he wasn't quite as good as 2010, but to call it a "decline" in terms of his career as if he was past his prime, like Lewtwo the Wise was implying - that's ridiculous. Still had his clay (2012) and HC (2013) peak ahead of him.

If you take out Djokovic then no other ATG (unless you count Murray who is not at that level). And you mention Fed having it easier early on so much in the past so this just goes against your point.

Saying Nadal declined in 2011 as opposed to 2010, is akin to saying Federer declined in 2007 as opposed to 2006. We're talking very small percentages here. Personally I wouldn't call it a decline, more like a slight drop in level.
And to other with "Nadal declined in 2011" story...

Difference between Nadals 2010 and 2011 is just Djokovics level... Without super Novak, Nadals 2011 could be even better than his 2010...

Slams 2010
AO - qf
RG - won
W - won
USO - won

Slams 2011
AO - qf (same)
RG - won (same)
W - f (lost to Novak)
USO - f (lost to Novak)
Practically only difference is great Novak

Masters 2010
Madrid Win
Monte Carlo Win
Rome Win
He won in all final he got to, and its only 3 masters, and all on clay!

Masters 2011
Monte Carlo Win
Rome f (lost to Novak)
Madrid f (lost to Novak)
Indian f (lost to Novak)
Miami f (lost to Novak)
He managed to 5 finals (more than 2010) and all loses are against magnificent Novak!

The conclusion is that we can't conclude about someone's form only thought results, but we must take a look a competition (Federer fans angry :))... Nadals 2011 is on par with 2010 but Novak v2.0 happened...

How could they win US 2020 without Novak? Could you explain more? And why should Roger win against Thiem at AO 2020 by default? He was not going to beat him.
Also could have should have does not exists. And without Djokovic the whole draw would change and you never know what would have happened!

since when facts prevent Lew?

Shouldn't 2018 USO go to Delpo? Don't see how Fed or Nadal win that one.

It looks like the same Nadal if you analyse the results on Wikipedia. If you watch the tennis, Nadal I don’t think was at the same level.

I watched all important matches Nadal played that years, 90 percent of his matches, live or replay, most probably even more... Rookie...
Same stands for period that followed...

neither of them declined in 2011...in fact both of them improved from 2011 on....and the reason for that is....djokerer

Those are some delicious looking wings. I'd get myself a plate of those to complete my AO12 final watching experience

Yet another example on why people never cheer for Djokovic compared to Fedal. The arrogance in that gif is just disgusting. But Nadal has won most of their important matches so really it's nothing to brag about.

Nah, if you beat Nadal in a 6-hour final, you've earned that. Shirt no longer required. :D

Yet you cheer for Kyrgios who has displayed more arrogance...but the real reason you hate Djoker is not his "arrogance" it is what has happened since 2011

Oh come on, you know that was an awesome moment! The culmination of years of suffering through fitness struggles, injuries, breathing difficulty on court, early retirements (and a fair bit of ridicule from other pros for it), and the long, hard years of revitalizing his career and pushing himself to his physical limits to be able to keep up with the best - realized in one titanic match, and one moment of sheer unbridled passion. The moment he had completed his transformation from Novak "Heat Stress" Djokovic to Novak "Man of Steel" Djokovic.

I've watched a lot of tennis, but no post-match victory celebration will consistently send chills down my spine like that one or when Ivansevic broke down into tears after Wimbledon 01. Moments like those are why we love this beautiful game.
Gladiator's celebration befitting a gladiator contest like the AO12 final.

I wish more WTA players would do that once in a while, but that's another story for another day.

I didn't always like Kyrgios, but he has matured a lot despite being 25. Still waiting on Djokovic to mature, maybe he will in his 40's, 50's, 60's? But actually it feels as if he's going backwards in that department.

How has he not matured bro? I guess you should teach him about maturity

It's sweet to hear you still care about Nole after all these years, but I think it's time to let it go and move on with your life. How many years has it been since he dumped you again?

So in 2011 Nadal’s movement, serve and FH were same level as 2010, but Novak too good?
Won't go one part of the game after another, we can give pluses and minuses, but overall his game was at about the same high level... Novak was the difference...
One more thing... In 2010, he lost 10 matches excluding Novak... In 2011, he lost 9 matches excluding Novak...

Did I write that?

Just type the ones they could win without Djokovic. Less confusing. I know you like to make things look better than they really are. 15 slam list looks better than 13 at a glance. Lewisian Psychology.
