Fedal in 2 points

These two have a gear (especially against one another) that I don't think has ever been replicated.

Even last night - both guys clearly past their best, but there were quite a few "turn back the clock" moments and shots in that match. Some of the tennis in the 5th was especially spectacular.

Ain't that the truth? The contrast and finesse in their game result in some unique rallies.

That 5th set was one of the greatest display of power tennis I've ever seen. Maybe the best 5th set quality(not quantity) in tennis history. Maybe some people think the 2005 AO semis(Fed vs Safin) was better?

I've seen some incredible Federer vs Djokovic rallies at AO/Wimbledon/US Open, but none of them were quite on the level of that 26-shot rally. Some might disagree.

Haha yeah I thought about that shot in 09 after that point.

I don't know if this was calculated or not, but check out after Fed's forehand at 0:29 it looks like he was about to come to the net. Don't know if that was a fake, or a split second decision to stay back. Either way I think not bum rushing the net and having confidence in his ground strokes was a huge factor in points like this. I think he would usually go to the net in this situation and get passed.
