Federer

3 AO 1 FO 6WI 5 USO 3-1/1-3/6-1/5-1 = 15-6 in slam finals / 16 m1000 titles / 4 YEC (5 finals) / 5 YE1

Djokovic

6AO 1FO 5WI 3USO 6-0/1-3/5-1/3-4 = 15-8 in slam finals / 28 m1000 titles / 4 YEC (6 finals) /5 YE1

Both exactly the same record at RG
Both won 6-5-3 in the other slams, but different order, I personally prefer 6 wimbledon, 5 Uso and 3 AO than having 6 AO, 5 Wimbledon and 3 USO, but djokovic has more slam finals anyways.

Djokovic has 12 extra m1000, 1 extra YEC final...
Both have 5YE1.

Federer ended 2009 with 263 Weeks at 1, Djokovic currently has 268, how many will he add before he loses it to Nadal? 3-4 weeks max.

I find it surprisingly comparable records, bar the m1000 which skew things in favor to djokovic..

What is your opinion of that.

But Federer had clear advantage to the second best in that decade, BUt its unfair to compare because nadal appear in the picture only 2005+.

While Djokovic had Nadal, who had himself a record of 13-6 in slam finals during the same decade 0-4/8-0/1-1/4-1, and who himself achiever 3 (possibly 4 ) YE1 during the same period. So 2010's were very very competitive, and 2000's were Federer and the rest (except on clay where it was Rafa always), despite Djokovic having slighty better numbers than Fed in the following decade.

Overal Fed and Nadal are quite comparable

Nadal in the 2000's being slighty better than Fed in 2010's and the other way around

Federer 2000's has 15-6 / Federer 2010's has 5-5
Nadal 2000's has 6-2 / Nadal 2010's has 13-6

Both are multigenerational players.

While Djokovic in comparison

Djokovic 2000's 1-1 / Djokovic 2000's has 15-8, Djokovic is clearly a player of the 2010's.. 90%+ of his slam titles and finals came in the 2010s, While Rafa career is basically
30% 2000s and 70% 2010's, while Roger is quite much the opposite of this figure.

Djokovic beat Murray 5 times, Federer 4 times, Nadal 4 times, del Potro, and Anderson for his 15.

Federer beat Roddick 4 times, Nadal twice, Djokovic, Agassi, Murray, Hewitt, Safin, Philippoussis, Soderling, Baghdatis, and Gonzalez for his 15.

Djokovic had the superior competition.
