Federer almost didn't play Cincy

"I had to try to back up a tough week from last week, I didn't think it was possible," he said. "I was considering not playing.
"But in practise I felt like I was recovering quickly so I gave it to a go. I played with less pressure."

I too was surprised by his durability over the last couple of weeks. I really thought he'd start hitting the wall against Andy Murray but no, he just powered through in reaching two consecutive 1000 finals and won Cincy. Awesome!

Federer's fitness is really underrated, he doesn't have the same stamina in long matches but he's always been good at going deep in consecutive tournaments.

Who is that? NatF said that he has always been good at going deep in consecutive tournaments. I have just pointed out that in 2006 after winning Toronto he lost early in Cincy
When you take a career like Fed's over more than a decade and you bring one example to contradict someone's point, that shows you are too "picky".
