Federer and Nadal fans should have given more love to Murray

Retrospectively he was the only one that could have preserved their legacies over Djokovic's. In 2016 he made three finals, won a slam, WTF and YE#1. Since his injury struggles and layoffs started in 2017 Djokovic has won 8 slams. Murray would have been able to snatch enough of those away had he maintained form. Federer would also still hold the weeks at no. 1 record.

Well, there's plenty to love about Murray, believe me.

Job of stopping Djokovic belonged to 3 guys born between 1991-1995 who emerged losers.

Loser number 1 : Grigor Dimitrov
Loser number 2 : Dominic Thiem
Loser number 3 : Nicholas Hilmy Kyrgios

You have it backwards here, the fact that most of Djokovic’s resume was built in the period after his major rivals faced significant injuries causing their decline without being replaced by any younger talent is the main argument against him. Murray’s arc is just more evidence in favor of this, when Murray was at his best Djokovic wasn’t able to dominate the whole year, dropping multiple important titles in the middle of his prime to him. Its further evidence that no one younger than Djokovic has been even remotely close to Murray or Wawrinka tier, let alone ATG tier. Most aren’t even Tsonga or Berdych tier

Murray’s just cooler.

He’s the Tennis equivalent of the Green Power Ranger.
I think Murray is pretty much the most uncool champion player - I think the guy's a complete bellend. I remember talking with some guys who knew him before he made it big and they said he was always an a-hole.

What is this pathetic 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' mentality here? If roger or rafa didnt want their slam records beaten then they themselves shouldve won more slams! Simples. Murray has set his own history as an atg.

Was Wawrinka's "threat" to Djokovic really that much better than Murray's? He beat him in more in slams but he never took a year end number 1 off him and Murray generally beat him more in all competitions. Either way both must be absolutely loving Djokovic's growing success as they can say they beat him in his prime.

If Murray has sustained his peak level for a while longer, that would've hurt 2017-18 Federer much more than anyone else.

It's funny because at the beginning people were like - you can't support Murray if you don't like Nole.

Murray's a sullen mug with a solid backhand and a plss poor 2nd serve...and like the saying goes, you're only good as your 2nd serve....

Maybe Muggsy's up there with Sampras, Laver & Borg but NOT with the "big 3" (that is, when tennis was invented).
