"Federer and Nadal have transcended tennis more than Djokovic" — Toni Nadal

In comparison to Federer & Djokovic, Nadal's resume is just too imbalanced! Fedovic have so many wins outside of their favorite slam unlike Nadal who just acquired his Double CGS w/ win "down under" after a decade of his last victory! Pls don't play dumb! You know exactly what I'm talking about! :-D :D:giggle::laughing:
Very much so.

The sly maneuvering was pretty apparent throughout his career, but it is easy to sugarcoat it for the sake of statistical convenience.

And in the past several years things have just gone well beyond absurd lol

Nadal and Federer might have transcended tennis more than Djokovic did, but sadly (as a Nadal fan) Djokovic has transcended the greatness and success of Nadal and Federer :sneaky: and at the end of the day that's what matters, the "aura" and fans will go, but numbers and records will remain
I think the biggest problem is fans are so fixated on which player is the "goat" that they lose sight of watching these guys actually play to the level they do. In 2 years when they are all a thing of the past, we will suffer through an age of mediocrity and tennis will be a dying sport again. I don't see anyone currently who can carry the torch of Fedalovic.

Novak will become more appreciated once he starts getting his butt handed to him on a regular basis, same as it happened with Roger (and Rafa later on). We're just taking him for granted. He's 36 and we question whether or not he's bound to get the Calender Slam. It's hilariously stupid.

Fedal era was a good one, but the myth is somewhat manufactured and overblown, as it never really happened that way in the first place. I believe part of the distaste for Novak stems from the fact he threw a damp blanket over the mainstream idea Fedal is this untouchable couple of tennis gods. It turned out they were not and the media outlets that were selling them as such were exposed as selling us a bunch of semi-BS. Unforgivable.

The sad part is the people who grew up watching Fedal are now getting old (or at least a little bit older), and so they will re-tell all those fab stories with authoritative nostalgia. Don't let them get you fooled, kids :D

True enough! There was no true rivalry w/ Fedal! Rafa owned Roger quite early and Fed quite lucky to win a few matches on HC & grass! By '08 Fed was done until a resurgence during Novak's injury/walkabout in 2017 allowed a Fedal Redux of swapping #1! :giggle: :D:-D

The stats at major level do not bear that out though. On clay nadal leads 8-2 in their h2h but off clay it is 3-5. Against Federer it is 5-0 on clay and 4-4 off clay. Nadal over 5 sets seems very competitive on every surface. His 2 great rivals less so on clay.
Nadal not good enough against the field outside of clay compared to Djokovic over their full careers. That’s why he’s fell behind. Rafa struggled to evolve his all round tennis game as well as Djokovic in the later years. He also didn’t manage his body as well.

Nadal has abetter slam resume. We are talking slams here not overall tour stats. Nadal has been greater at 2 of the 4 slams one of which is Djokovics best surface lest we forget.

They transcended Tennis by getting most of their records broken and ending up as losers.
How on earth with fedrer more talented than rafa and novak is behind in the slam race. Rafa while giving everything he have is 2 slam behind. And how you justify novak who was at the best third wheel is now in lead ..24>22>20. And amazingly rafa and roger has negative h2h against novak.
no way roger or rafa are better than novak. Forget this subjective opinion.
