Fed should've won his match against Pospisil 1,5 hours faster but he still managed to pull through. Del Potro had a mental lapse in the second set against Roger-Vasselin but also won his match in 3. Last year Del Potro beat Federer in 3 tight sets in the final to claim the title.

I'm gonna go with Del Potro in 3 as well but I'm happy Fed reached the final here. Just hope he doesn't get humiliated, should've won his match in 1 hour compared to 2,5...Damn, Fed!

Gonna go with Del potro in 2. He comes in waves, sometimes he's excellent and sometimes he's average. He was average in his semi so i say he steps it up for the final.

My bad guys! He has IN FACT beaten Delpo INDOORS. 3 times. Basel 2007, Madrid 2008 and Rotterdam 2012. So they are actually tied 3-3.

Hm.. Delpo is not so predictable too. But I think he has a higher chance winning.

I remember that like it was yesterday. He screamed something like, "I'm through!" after he won just enough games to qualify or something? Troll Fed was a troll that day.

Yay! That was pure gold, I thought Federer had the third set under control in his match against Del Potro but it literally looked like he lost on purpose to kick Murray out of the tournament. Ouch that must've hurt if you were Andy Murray:twisted:

Not according to the ATP website.

Looks like you are correct:

Sad to say it but I think Delpo will get it in 2 clean sets.

Hope Delpo's heart goes soft on Federer though and even hands him the trophy along with a "We still believe in you" flag.

I think Delpo will take it in 3. That said, with the crowd and the motivation to qualify, I would not be at all surprised if Fed won tomorrow. So in short, I think Delpo will win, but I don't think I'll be as surprised as some of you if Fed wins. This place and others have always been quick to write Federer off, but I just don't subscribe to that logic.

How is anyone being quick to write Fed off for the Basel final? Based on play this week, making a choice doesn't indicate writing anyone off. That's just absurd.

Not for this tournament in particular, but you have to know what everybody's saying these days about Federer right?

Did he really do that? Wow, that just made me think less of Federer. :(

It pains me to go against my hero but I voted Delpo in 3. I just hope to see a great match tomorrow. I'll be rooting for Fed but I like both players so either way will be cool.

Had Federer won in 2 against Pospisil as he should have it would have been close, now I don't see him winning. Hoping for a good final, may the best win!

Heart says Fed in 3, head says Delpo in 3. Going with my head for a change.

Weird that they met eight times last year and this is the first time they've met this year. I think Del Potro will win in three sets (although maybe he'll get his first straight sets win over Federer).

Head says Delpo in 2. Still, it's Roger, he's playing at home, and I just can't ever bring myself to count him out anyway, so I'll follow my heart and vote Roger in 3. :)

Not that weird considering Federer didn't go deep in barely any tournaments. You have to reach the QF to play the 5-8 ranked guys. And after Federer dropped out of the top 4 it was almost impossible for them to meet.

Federer in 3.
He will bring his game for this final, it will still be a close match, but he will come through.
