He said, through a conversation, that he knows or heard of someone who demonstrated how emotions can have an impact on water...maybe he exaggerated a little bit...but he wasn't selling anythingHe hasn't done himself any favours...
Maybe he can use his positive thinking to cleanse what he hears so instead of hearing boos he can hear the crowd cheering for him...
Honestly, spreading crap like that is actually quite dangerous... as a tennis champion he has devoted followers (yourself being a prime example) and I would not put it past some of them to be stupid enough to buy the fraud he's selling...
Can imagine a kid somewhere thinking he can cleanse polluted water with positive thoughts then drinks it and gets sick...
So Federer fans how are you feeling about Wimbledon with no Federer? Are there any players who could spark your interest and give you a reason to watch it?
He said, through a conversation, that he knows or heard of someone who demonstrated how emotions can have an impact on water...maybe he exaggerated a little bit...but he wasn't selling anything
Well yes, he was likely thinking of the Japanese scientist who demonstrated something similarNo... bs! He said it was scientifically proven lmfao guy's a dingbat
Here if you don't believe me:
Novak Djokovic: Positive emotions can purify polluted water - Eurosport
Novak Djokovic has touted another myth to his legions of followers… that polluted water can be purified with a positive mindset.www.google.com
I hope he can excel on any surface from now on. I have zero interest in the "old guard" without Fed in it.Alcaraz is a player that does interest me but Im assuming grass isnt gonna be a surface he will excell on.

Honestly, it was just one IG live conversation where he was trying to connect to the guy speaking. It's not like he said he has done it himself, just spoken to other people about it.Rather, it's more likely you're trying to cover up for his stupidity...
Embarrassing really for an elite athlete to spout so much utter nonsense...
There is no scientist on Earth that has demonstrated that positive thoughts purify polluted water. None. Guaranteed.
glad to hear it, we all know how much you like Federer so it’s nice to see you putting your subjective feelings aside hereHuge Fed fan here and I'm looking forward to it

It's a dumb statement but I think it's way overblown, and not particularly reflective of Novak as a person. If he was really into drinking 'purified' toxic water he'd have died by now.
The way people talk around here it's like they think he spends his free time attempting to turn arsenic into gold Isaac Newton-style.
Just another example of overused and boring talking points. I've literally heard this stuff 100x since joining TTW.
I don't find him particularly loony, he's painfully similar to most 30 something yoga enthusiasts who get into holistic wellness and whatever else.Yes... along with his positive energy from pyramids that are actually scientifically proven to be piles of dirt... rubbing bread on his stomach...
The guy is a nut case.
Yes as a Federer fan first he sold me with his performance at AO22. Enough creativity, variety, and touch shots to be entertaining. It helped too that Medvedev prefers such a flat forehand.Same. Almost exactly.
Nadal is playing some of the most fun tennis these days. He’s attacking, he’s creative, and he’s shortening points with his smart aggression.
I dare say he’s playing more like his older brother than ever and I like it a lot!

He's more weird than harmful or malicious. The term nut case is out of order in my view.
That's my point, we don't need to exaggerate and say someone is crazy or a nutcase to criticize them.
Closet Nadal fan detected.Yeah. I've never been a fan of his style and of course hated Federer's defeats to him but I've never really disliked him either. Maybe I'm needing someone to attach myself to to keep tennis there as a sport to follow. Hard to explain actually but I will probably watch some of his matches and find myself wanting him to win. If he won it of course he would have a shot at the calendar slam which would be amazing to witness.
One man's meat is another man's poison.Yeah I feel like Im in the same place. Tennis is a great sport and Ive watched it for almost 40yrs but currently there isnt anybody on the tour that I feel I can emotionally invest myself in and give me a reason to watch it anymore.
I like Nadal's game, but I am bored and annoyed by his time wasting routines.
Rafa will be devasted. This + the grunting is what holds me back from embracing him as a fan like Federer.
(Also the 2hbh.)
You don't need to take it so personally.Rafa will be devasted.
that is just so strange. As a lifelong Federer fan, I can honestly say after all that has happened after the last two years....
That I'm looking forward to it, and genuinely want Novak to win it.
Yes I am. He is a player that interests me actually. Not intrigued to see how Alcaraz goes?
Can't imagine it would be worse than last year tbh, that Wimbledon was boring af.
Right now Rafa is working on a rightie one handed backhand and the grunting. He can't afford not to have you as a fan. He'll do anything it takes. You don't need to take it so personally.
that is just so strange.
All true Federer fans should have an inherent dislike of Djokovic because of all the painfull defeats he has inflicted on Federer! Why exactly? Do you think all Federer fans should think, feel and want things the same way? You find Djokovic boring or don't want him to win, fair enough, you are fully entitled to that opinion, but why is it strange if another Federer fan feels differently to this? Everyone is different.

Actually if he's willing to go that far I'd rather he just deploy double forehands. Never seen that buggy whip from the other side.Right now Rafa is working on a rightie one handed backhand and the grunting. He can't afford not to have you as a fan. He'll do anything it takes.
Like some other Federer fans here in this thread I'm also mainly excited about Nadal and his quest for CYGS. It helps that I have made peace with the fact that he has overtaken Federer once and for all, and that I don't care anymore if he finally beats him by 2, 5 or 10 Slams. I admit it's a whole different feeling to watch a Rafa match now.
Other than that I'm a bit interested if Hurkacz and Berrettini can back up what they did in the 500s this week.
Just when I thought Wimbledon couldn't get any less interesting. Murray not guaranteed to be fit enough. Still struggling with injury.
Yeah Ive already read these quotes. The fact that he still cant hit certain shots is not a good sign with Wimbledon only a week away."The next couple of days are pretty important for me," Murray said of his Wimbledon hopes. "Obviously the plan is still to play. The injury that I had is improving." The 35-year-old admitted that he was feeling better but had been unable to practise certain shots since picking up the injury and was hoping to reintroduce them in the coming days. "I'm feeling better than I was on the Sunday afternoon, evening. Training has been going well in some aspects. With the nature of the injury, it's not stopped me from practising. I've been able to do a lot of work on the court, but there's specific shots that I haven't been able to practice yet," he admitted.
"In the next couple of days, we'll start to do that. The positive is that I've been able to get on the practice court and hit balls and work on a lot of different things, but there's specific shots that I have not been able to practise and that has obviously hampered the preparations. In the next couple of days, I'll have to start to increase that and test it to see where it's at."
How is Swiatek on grass? Is there a chance that side of the draw is interesting?I won't be watching many of the men's matches.
I will take in quite a few of the women's matches though.
Fedr.
She won Wimbledon as a junior in 2018 IIRC, so the potential is there. How is Swiatek on grass? Is there a chance that side of the draw is interesting?
Could be scary if she gets the confidence boost on that surface from winning this year. She won Wimbledon as a junior in 2018 IIRC, so the potential is there.
She’s (relatively) vulnerable on her serve and her ground game is better suited to clay and hard, but she’s so far ahead of the other women right now that it’s not even funny. Grass will be harder for her so it should still be interesting
