Some new guy on tour who has to take his own racquets to the stringer !yep, those stringer guys are pretty nice.
who the rookie?
That guy's probably going places. Some new guy on tour who has to take his own racquets to the stringer !
That is kinda high tension 27 kilos. I wonder what string he uses, it doesn’t sound like its champion choice hybrid.Has to be one of the nicest guys on earth...
If I string 27 kg, VS will break for sure on my machine or the gripper/clamps will not hold. If not, the stringmeter will show 33 kg for the mains strung. Probably his gauge is 15. On the other hand, stringbed must be at higher stiffness to match his mighty strokes and add some value. That is kinda high tension 27 kilos. He puts them in seclusion. No string savers?
Did not seem like the wilson weasel paid either, boy the nerve....at least tip...lolSome new guy on tour who has to take his own racquets to the stringer !
Ahh..didn’t watch long enough. A bit surprised he tensions that high especially poly crosses. He used to tension 48lbs or so with the 90.
Yeah, its a bludgeoning frame so I believe with gut, power is crazyIf you have used a gut hybrid in the RF97 you will see why he had to go up so far in tension. That thing is exceptionally powerful with gut mains. I had it at 54/52 or so and it was still super powerful. I wouldn't play it with full poly again though, gut makes that frame unbelievable!
He has videos on youtube talking about his gut mains and how long his stringjobs last, its something like 30 minutes before mass fraying in the middle and less than an hour before snap.
Its also 25.5 cross, he always has the cross 1.5kg lower than the main.

I've played gut/poly hybrid and used the same tension. There is nothing to be afraid of hereAhh..didn’t watch long enough. A bit surprised he tensions that high especially poly crosses. He used to tension 48lbs or so with the 90.
Fun fact: Two of Fed’s stringers at P1 rarely attend his matches despite getting free good seats because they believe Poly has made the game a boring fitness fest.
Yeah I know, was just saying that two guys who strung for Fed said that. Different strokes.I don't go to a lot of matches because I usually need to wake up between 4am-6am depending on how early I need to get racquets done, and then I'll start working on racquets again in the evening for a few hours. If I went to matches all the time, I'd have almost no time to relax during my time awake. I like to take a few hours off during the afternoons to have some time to myself. I tend to go to matches later in an event when we are down to only one or two clients because then my workload has decreased.
The rise of poly has no bearing on my not attending matches. When most guys were playing with all gut, I was doing the same scheduling as I am now.
Two guys who string for Federer? LOLYeah I know, was just saying that two guys who strung for Fed said that. Different strokes.
What’s funny? Two guys who string for Federer? LOL
