Bulsh**. Murray systemically figured out and broke down Raonic's game. And he would have done the same with Phillippoussis' serve-and-volley game.

Oh, and Nadal would have won his first Wimbledon in 2006 instead of 2008 if we somehow remove Federer (let's say have him w/o in the QF, the only way for Ancic to get past that match).
Nadal would have whipped Ancic in the final that year.

Fred even faced unseeded opponents in Slam finals.:D
Murray faced the worst opponent in a Wimbledon final in 20 years. Raonic is a worse player than Scud.

Murray would be lucky to win 3 majors in another era.

Federer's fans have to deal with the fact that "prime Federer" beat different players than prime Djokovic/Nadal.

All the Roddicks and Hewitts disappeared when Djokovic and Nadal turned 20.

We will never know if prime Federer would have always beaten Wawrinka, Murray and Nishikori. What we know is that against the teenager big4 during his 99% winning period he already had a negative score.

Djoker had it the toughest for me. You can talk about prime/peak all you like but Djoker had to bust open the Fedal monopoly on slams to start winning them. The fact is that post-prime or not, he had the big 2 contending at most slams and everyone recognised that it was a monumental task to go through both of them to win a slam.

I will admit that come 2014, 2015 and 2016 slams came a little easier to him but I can't deny that he earnt that position by uterly dominating. I think Djoker's only regret in hindsight is not turning more of his dominate years into multi-slam years (specifically 2012, 2013 & 2014).

Fed had his chance with 'clean-air' from the other two more-or-less between 2004 and 2007 (Rafa only really threatening at RG)
Rafa had his chance between 2008 and 2010 where he had no peak Djoker yet and had climbed the everest that is Mt Federer on all three surfaces
Djoker had to punch holes through the other two to get his 'clean-air' between 2014 - 2016

Another thread that reminds me there have only been 3 good players in tennis history, and that Nadal/Djokovic off their best surfaces with mental problems and 30+ year old Federer are all that passes for "tough competition" and Murray as well when it suits the argument. Where would I be without these threads reminding me of these basic facts.
