Federer has never lost a Grand Slam final in less than 5 sets outside of the French Open.

He is 16-4 in finals at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and US Open, pushing his opponent to five sets in all four of his losses.

Compare that to Nadal, who lost a four set final at the Australian Open, Wimbledon (2), and US Open.

Sampras who lost a four set Australian Open final, a four set US Open final, and two straight set finals.

Borg who lost a four set Wimbledon final, four set final (2) and a straight set final at the US Open.

You are in desperation mode. Just accept that Federer did not win the Wimbledon title yesterday. You cannot rub salve on the state of affairs to (somehow) lift Federer in history.

What he stated are facts not opinions ? You want to say Laver's 8.5 slams are better than current era ?

History stands; Federer could not win the Grand Slam--the ultimate achievement. Your attempt--like so many Federer fans--to move goalposts (or post padded trivia lists) in order to lift Federer only occurs as an acknowledgement of what he could not win, which says everything.

Translation : winning 4 tournaments from Jan to Dec is the ultimate achievement. It cannot be from May-April.

English calendar is above Jesus and all Greek Gods.

That's like saying no player is goat because they don't have 302 weeks at #1.

One achievement isn't the be-all and end-all debate. It takes every achievements combined, with most grand slam titles is the most important criteria. Ask tennis experts, they'll tell you !

Repeating bullsh*t does not stop it from being bullsh*t.

Bolding and italicising bullsh*t does not stop it from being bullsh*t.

Stating that "the Grand Slam" (a phrase not used by modern viewers) makes a player a GOAT, yet refusing to accept that Don Budge is the GOAT, proves that what a poster is stating is bullsh*t.

A lot of the OP's posts are annoying fed worship posts or ones putting Nadal down, but it is quite remarkable that again when Federer loses a slam he still takes the guy all the way. Outside of the French, it's not easy to beat him in a slam final..
