I actually think that Fed's girlfriend looks better than Hewitt's Fiancé. Hell, Hewitt can't even win in that dept.
This is the craziest thing anybody's ever posted. Congrats![/serious]

Sarcasm or no sarcasm, dead cows or live cows, Federer rules the tennis world. Hewitt probably feels good about himself despite the loss, heck, he actually broke Fed once, must feel kinda like winning it.

Baby steps, baby steps !!

From being bagelled on a consistent basis to 2 6-4 sets, with a bonus break, is most definitely a huge achievement for Hewitt.

I'm not sure if I'm being sarcastic.

Well back on the match top, Hewitt's attitude and play disgusted me. If i was there I'd of shouted that Hewitt shoulda just lost to Roddick, at least Roddick would have gotten a little mad jesus. This just shows me Hewitt as NO confidence at facing Federer, at least last time he hit his racquet on the ground a few times. Disgusting...

Oh and I had no idea this was a best of 5 lol. I was like no one seems very enthused that Federer just won after the second set....

Ljubicic and Safin are the only players to either push or defeat Roger this year. It's a combination of power and solid play.

Also, JC Ferrero took Federer to a third set tiebreak earlier in the season I believe in Dubai. Hopefully if he can return to form, he can give federer a scare every now and then. I think the combination to contend with Federer is power, skill, and variety. Neither Ljubicic nor Safin really have any weaknesses in their games from a physical standpoint. I might even venture to say both have bigger serves and better backhands.

wait guga is coming maybe he can repeat what seems the impossible defeating federer in 3 straight sets. He also stright setted him 2 years back in INDIAN WELLS. I hope a rejuvenated guga returns.

Dear Gugafanatic,
Your have lost your speaking privleges becase of your idiotic post on Henman being a "failure". Please refain from taining these message boards with your mindless comments. Thank you.

P.s. Guga's glory days are over. Obviously Federer was a differnt player two years ago.

pps-Federer, if he playes Guga in this years French Open, will straight set him, though i have nothing against Guga.

Federer has this ability to raise up his game with resistance. He has the ability to mix topspin with slices -- a great tactic against a player like Hewitt who uses Western grip forehand. Against Hewitt he varies his shots, deep and short, deep cross courts and angled cross courts, deep down the lines and relatively short down the lines. A Marat Safin took advantage of whatever short balls Federer offered him at the Australian Open SF by going to net via approach shots. Hewitt has great volleys but I feel that his 1-handed slice approach shot is not good enough or he does not trust them!

Well done by Hewitt, he is undoubtably the worlds number two. Safin can rise higher but is very inconsistent over the full course of a year. Hewitt beats Roddick most times and no others really hold much fear for him consistently. He played decently to get to the final and Fed's dominance just goes to show how great he is playing. Hewitt hasn't laid down like some might, he is at least TRYING to find ways to offset Fed's awesome game. The man has guts with a capital G.

thank you JohnThomas1, hewitt is the undoubtable world no. 2. hewitt was playing w/ injured toes, the same as agassi.
sometimes hewitt does the silent, brooding mood, where he doesn't react to anything.

Np hotdimsim, but i'm sure he was outplayed vs the injured toes. Credit must be given, Federer plays on another planet most times nowadays. Two four and four was probably a decent effort really.

I of course want Roger to beat Lleyton every time they play, but I enjoyed their matches more last year when Hewitt seemed to believe he could win. For example when they played at the Australian and Wimbledon I sensed he believed he could win, I was very happy Roger won, but it made the matches more exciting. Perhaps I am wrong that he doesnt believe he can win and it is just his body language. I dont know.
It is unlike him to be so calm on the court though.

JohnThomas1 said:
He is calm because he can't get his butt in front or at least level i think.

Yeah, I agree. However he is like that right from the start, even if he holds serve to start he match he is like that. It just makes it less interesting. I want Roger to win every time he plays, but I also like that feel of suspense, and excitement that is diminished with Hewitt's over-calmness now playing Rogi.
