Looks to me that is going to change soon.....

Federer is currently number 8 of the world.

As soon as he is lifted from the top 10 contract clauses might kick in......

How could Federer be worth only 180 imllion? He doesn't pay any tax in Dubai and he earns 70 million a year? He probably earned even more up till his decline in 2012. I thought he'd be worth 500 million at least.

thats wrong, Fed worth alot more than $180M, they should count the monies (endorsement etc, excluding prize money) he had from the beginning up to 2013.
not just endorsement money in 2013 + career prize money.

Where's all the monies he made in 2012? 2011? 2010? just dissapeared?

His investments might have got toasted during the 2008 credit crisis and 2011 European crisis. Who knows?

People who were not born rich tend to spend lavishly furthermore his business expenses are very high.

Living the 'high live' is expensive.

Despite his mediocre results, his endorsements should keep increasing. I wouldn't be surprised if he earns close to $100 million on his final year on tour

This ^. It's not possible that he is only worth 180m.

He's earned more than that in endorsements alone in the past 5 years.

From what I can tell, they got that number by adding his total earnings + his endorsements from last year or so. That's the only way it would make sense.
